the mod is in an early state and is far from being complete
i don't even know if i can post this here
PREVIEW VIDEO COMING SOON™
you can try it yourself, it shouldn't screw anything up unless you have mods replacing .wav files from the vanilla game,
so like i say below i highly recommend installing this mod with a mod manager
description
Skyrim BOOM is a mod that replace some sounds in the vanilla game (+ some mods) with sounds from BOOM Library
their sounds are pretty common nowadays, in films and AAA video games, as well as anime
BOOM Library have the sickest cinematic sound effects i could ever hear
i also used some Soundmorph sound effects, another very cool sound design company
initially i had these for my animations, but i wanted to put those in the game to see if it fits,
and well i absolutely love it i'm laughing my ass off everytime i click a thing in the menu xD
the sounds are very cinematic, it's all big bassy BOOMS and cool sound design
it may break the immersion, as it's not natural at all
those sounds were made for movie trailers and such, so not lore-friendly
but if you like those cool JoJo sound effects you should like this mod :^)
for now, all i did is change a bunch of UI sounds, weapons, spells and shouts
and changed sounds from 2 other mods
it will take time to complete as i have other things to do, such as living life, eating, sleeping and such y'know
but sometime there will be updates, and someday hopefully a release :D
requirements & compatibility
the base mod is made for vanilla
you can acquire "patches" for compatibility in the optional files
the requirements are on top of this description, as well as under each file in the description :)
you will be prompted when clicking download
i am also still working on the Immersive Sounds Compendium patch, it might take time to finish
installation
it's all loose *.wav files, it isn't complicated
simply install with your favorite mod manager (recommended)
or extract all the files manually in your Data folder (risky)
if you already have other sound mods that overwrite vanilla sounds like this one,
it's your choice to overwrite anything or not
"patches" should overwrite original mods tho, logically
i highly recommend to install this mod with a mod manager, so you get to choose what replaces what
uninstallation
mod manager : simply uninstall
manual drag&drop : you're kinda screwed,
but you can still try and figure out which file to delete by comparing with the archive ? 🤷♂️
thanks
to all modders for making awesome mods i love to use in my everyday playthroughs
to BOOM Library for making the very best sound effects in the history of entertainment
anime studios like David Production for inspiring me and thousands of people for their revolutionnary usage of cinematic sound effects
other game studios and basically anyone in the sound industry using cool sounds like these whose work i've come across through the years
and you for downloading, endorsing, sending nice messages and all, i appreciate those :)
