I always hated the fact that after you deal with CW, soldiers in cities just stay either legionnaire or blue. That's just sad. I like Stormcloaks but i also like green and red. I want to see green and red guards in their cities. But editing NPC records would put another brick into the wall called "compatch this shit before you'll actually play". So i decided to be lazy and just wrote simple SPID script that checks two things: If the NPC is in IsGuardFaction and one of the holds' crime faction it gives him outfit that is assigned to guards of said faction. Advantage of this is that it will also affect NPCs added by mods. So if let's say a mod like Fall of Granite Hill add new village with guards that change with CW ownership then it will be compatible without any action needed.
Bad news is, that it will also affect NPCs added by mods. So if a mod adds Guardsman Steve who is guard, acts like guard but for some reason doesn't wear a helmet, or wears ragged pants - tough luck, he's getting new uniform. I added some exceptions to the mix, it shouldn't affect Commander Caius, Sinmir and Aldepius. It's kinda unusual thing for someone to be in crime-fighting factions while being unique npc tho. Would be great to get some feedback if you'll see chars that shouldn't wear uniforms but wear it or the reverse.
