Please restrain from posting links to inofficial reuploads to Steve40s mods. Reuploading work of other modders to other plattforms without their permission is just an asshole move.
Besides that, SkyBirds has not been vanished from Nexus. Steve40 decided a long time ago, that he does not want to use Nexus anymore, uploaded all of his mods to his dropbox and linked them in his profile. However since the recent forum software update of Nexusmods, all profile descriptions are gone (see https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14894). They "plan to return this feature in early 2024".
I really like it, otherwise I wouldn´t use it or make a patch for it. It really brings Skyrim to life and adds a lot of immersion. However, I cant say anything about bugs or CTD.
I know you didn't ask for my opinion but I used it a lot years ago before it was hosted off Nexus. Never had an issue. Also it's configurable via MCM so you can decrease the amount of birds spawned if you're concerned about that.
skybirds broke saves... and pnjs will not have moving lips, exept during dialogues, i liked this mod because you knw, birds, immersive, but for a short time. and i forget to speak about scripts overload. anyway if you want test it, use resaver and you will see the mess (i m not the oly who had this)
Yeah, I actually removed SkyBirds as well from my mod list, mostly because of CTD issues which arised from time to time. I am using Birds of Skyrim and BIRDS in combination, which works really well.
from my experience running skybirds. the mod is CTD free. ive had it for years. thing is that mods that are not buggy can make your game crash also, depending on many other factores. sometimes bottlenecking, or other times a random ocurrence. even if the crash log points to such mod. its usually a mix of reactions in the right place to make a mod crash your game. best way to fix crashes is to think out of the box when you check crash logs. try to relate in base of knowledge and intuition and then use the logger to start making assestments. Skyybird has MCM menu. if you are experience crashes or performance issues, try lowering bird spawn in your MCM settings. all the best!!
Good work with the patch. I have a question, this works with Nature of the Wildlands - Forest Debris Only ? (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/71607)
Thats actually something I dont know, because I dont use Forest Debris Only. I would suggest to try it out. Load this patch after Forest Debris Only and see if you have floating mushrooms.

Would you mind if I ported this patch to Xbox? All credit would be given to you.
Thanks!
All profile descriptions are gone, but they are planning to reintroduce them.
