Screenshots are overrated. Watch the Video!

This started as a conversion of Rudy Zangdar's Obsidian Weathers ENB for VR.

The original Obsidian Weathers is still my goto, favorite weather mod for a dark and cold Skyrim with just enough nice days to explain why everyone hasn't left the province.

This also works with Onyx, because it is based on Obsidian.

What is different?

I had to rework all 38 weathers to make the compatible with VR.  I amped up a few colors to make sure they pop and toned down the brightness of the sun for most situations and cranked up the wetness effects and specularity in rainy weather. Since many things do not work well in VR, this is just sunrays, color corrections, sun shadows, and skin.  If I get around to it, I will fix that "bright eyes at night" with ENB issue.

Installation:

First install Obsidian Weathers, then Rudy's required Obsidian Weather addons and extras from Rudy's enb for Obsidian SE, Cresty's mists, and Storm lightning.  The first 2 are required, and the second 2 we'll call soft requirements.

Then get the enbdev enb for VR and install that, and then drop this one in and overwrite if asked.

Keep in mind that much of this is toned down for VR.  It will look far better in VR than in screenshots and videos.  This is because it was originally designed for flat screens.  Try it.  You'll like it.  It is a preference thing versus other ENB settings.

Update 1.1 :  Fixed some weathers that had the sun too bright and set a curve for eye brightness.  Eye will no longer be too bright at night.  Also set a curve for sun shadows, so they will be less dark during the day than at night.  This will help with the eyes being too bright in a cloud shadow during the day, but the tradeoff is lighter cloud shadowing during the day.  I feel like this is the right balance, but it can be adjusted later by lowering the eyelightamount during the day and then darkening the shadows again.  Drop a post if you have a preference about that. Also fixed an issue where in some rainy weathers there would be more ambient light at night than during twilight, so that would cause the scene to inexplicably brighten as it got darker out.  Nighttime is now the darkest time.

Update 2.0: This is probably the final version. I have had to make so many artistic choices that it is getting too far away from Rudy's SSE ENB. This is as close as I can get it in VR. It looks great, but is starting to get too close to Rudy Cathedral. Amped up the colors a little and added a sharpen to make it crisp, darkened the nights more, so that you really will need a torch and the mod that makes them actually work by doubling their radius. This is a big departure from how it looked before, but I think it is better.  Any future updates will be on a different page, because it would stop being a Rudy conversion. I almost have it looking like the Witcher 3 update, so I may lean into that more, or create the Hasphat ENB for Obsidian weathers and VR. Let me know what y'all think in the posts. I can easily tone down the colors if that is too much and brighten the nights if they are too dark.  My philosophy on those things is to push it to the max, and then bump it down just a little.

Update 2.5: Amped up the sun intensity to make it glow more. Retooled the fogging and lighting to provide more light and stronger direct lighting for more depth to the models. Added AO parameters for ambient occlusion. Should work now and not cloud everything. It is subtle but powerful, especially on armors. I changed some of the colors a little more for orangey sunsets. Got some feedback about the darkness of the nights. I still like them this way.  This is especially noticeable for people using paraphernalia ambience. I have included an optional brighter nights enbeffects.fx.ini as an optional file. Drop it into Skyrim VR/enbseries/ folder and the nights will be a little brighter

Newest Update: Just minor tweaks. All nights are now brighter than before by popular demand. Added some other weathers to the weather lists. Very small changes from 2.5.
