About this mod

Do you find it strange that a completely new Prisoner can just suddenly download an entire field of study (through a perk point) whenever he or she feels like it?

Well, no longer will this be true.

Inspired by Irondusk33's Synergy - Skills and Perks Reimagined I am pleased to introduce Requiem - Conditional Perk Requirements.

At level 1, any perk tree is fully opened and the player can use their first three perk points to define the character as normal.

From level 2 however, things get interesting. The player will have to either:
- have a skillbook of the required skill tree in their inventory (the easiest way)
- have joined (or are in the process of joining) a faction (Companions, the imperials, the stormcloacks, the Dawnguard, the dark brotherhood or the thieves guild)
- have finished quests for particular individuals or minor factions.
- be a at the College of Winterhold (for mage novice perks)
- finished tutorial quest (for crafting alchemy and enchanting)
- and in some rare cases, just have grinded the skill unperked to skillevel 25 in order to be able to take the perk that show that they are a novice in said skill.

After the first perk, everything progresses as expected.

The reason for this mod, is to help the player to roleplay the character they have created and help you to immerse yourself into the world of Skyrim.

But what if you use an alternate start mod and start your journey in Bruma or somewhere else?
Fear not. You can either buy the requisite skill book from a vendor, or if that fail, add the novice perk through console:

Open perk menu and look at the name of the perk.
Open console and write "help <name of perk>"  (but without the quote marks " ")
Then write "player.addperk XXXXXXXX" (the x referring to the formid of the perk. For example 000BE126 for Stealth 1)

Most skill conditions should make lorewise sense:

Start joining the legion or the stormcloaks to unlock evasion, heavy armor, onehanded and twohanded.
Join the Dark Brotherhood for evasion, onehanded and sneak.
Start to join the Thieves guild for lockpicking and pickpocket (to be able to finish the starter quest), and join fully for evasion and sneak.
Get Amren's sword for onehanded and block.
Deliver the Forgemaster's Fingers to a certain orc to unlock twohanded.
Finish successfully the Dibella, Kynareth or Mara cleric questlines for unlocking Restoration.
Do a particular minor quest for Farengar for novice destruction.
Help Runil to get his thing from some bandits to unlock conjuration.
Help a orc shaman to get guidance from Malacath to unlock Illusion.
Help a certain Alteration mage in Kynesgrove with an errand to unlock Alteration.
Join the college of winterhold and be at the college to be able to unlock mage novice perks.
Finish archery training from a certain archery master and get her bow to unlock archery.

And if all else fails: Get a skillbook (Locations listed in the link)

Place mod below Requiem. Any mod that touches perks will probably need a patch.

Have fun.
