Thank you all for your comments ! Unfortunately I can't answer to everyone but know that I really appreciate the warm welcome for Northern Roads !

If you are getting holes in the ground and seams :

    1) Make sure you've downloaded every patch available that you might need from both this page and the Patch Collection

    2) If you still have issues, download the optional ESP version of Northern Roads (available under Miscellaneous in the Files tab) and put it at the very bottom of you load order, with just the Northern Roads patches under it. This is a working but temporary solution until more patches are made

2b) If you know how to use xEdit, you can easily make a patch by copying the conflicting landscape records into a new plugin overwriting the conflicting mods. But if you know how to use xEdit, chances are you've already done this.

I hope this helps you resolve the issue so you can enjoy this mod.
    Cheers !

For convenience, all compatibility patches are now found in the

If you still experience seam issues after using both patches, try going into LOOT, select Northern Roads and then Edit. Once there change the group from default to Worldspace Settings and then just save, sort your load order with loot (deploy as well). This fixed all my remaining seam problems pretty much in every region.

Once you see "Group" = Default, click on that and a bunch of options should come up. "Worldspace Settings" should be there.

damn this doesn't work for me because LOOT keeps running into 'Cyclic interaction detected' between multiple northern roads patches and multiple other esps. Any more advice or workarounds would be much appreciated.

EDIT: fixed my issue after some investigating with https://modmapper.com. Just had to add a loot rule for northern roads to load after verdant grass plugin. TY to OP as this helped me narrow it down a load order issue.

I'm going to add my thanks for your post about how to fix the landscape problems with this mod. It really does work!
I have tried and failed to include this mod into my load order at least two times in the past, but there were just too many missing taxtures and holes in the landscape that I couldn't fix.
Your advice about changing the group from default to worldspace settings solved everything, and now I can enjoy having this mod in my game! Thank you!

Thanks for the tip, but I'm still getting seams at the SOUTH entrance to Riften, do you know how to correct this? I also have the beginning of a bridge not far away (near Goldenglow) that is 50cm up from the ground !
And also, I use JK's Skyrim so I have the Northern Roads automatic plugin for Jks Skyrim, however I have a huge hole right in the middle of the Ivarstead bridge, and it only disappears if I disable Jks Skyrim

EDIT 1 : I was able to fix the bug at ivarstead by installing the mod that replaces the bridge.
EDIT 2 : After switching to mod organizer 2 (before I was on vortex) and reactivating all my mods correctly and then relaunching LOOT, this seems to have corrected my problems! (so I think it was indeed a loading problem that vortex was mishandling)

The mods worked well then I had massive issue wirthout adding any mods that touched or used road, never understand why until I remember I sorted plugin with loot. Used your tip and everything is fixed and back to normal. Northen Road was put way to high in the load order wich caused the issue. Thanks a lot.

THANK YOU!!! This finally fixed the buggy roads for me.

      Tips:
For anyone who encounters the "Cyclic interaction detected" within LOOT after doing the steps that @vertual26x has said, redo the steps but then go to the tab next to Group, called "Load After", then click on "Add new row" at the bottom, now a empty box/row should appear beneath "Filename", double-click it and start typing the name of the mods that causes cyclic interactions and it will auto-suggest mods starting with what you typed, in my case it was "A Clear Map Of Skyrim.esp" and "ACMOS - Bruma.esp". After adding those mods, save, sort load order, enjoy your game.

EDIT: Do this step AFTER doing @vertual26x's steps, make extra sure your Group is set to "Worldspace Settings". Also, the "Cyclic Interactions detected" error may also mention Northern Roads .esps but ignore those, just add the other mods that has problems with it.

If you use Lux Via, then you might encounter missing bridges after doing this (people near Riverwood were swimming in the river near the missing bridge lol). Easy fix for me was to reinstall all 3 of my Northern Roads patches (Patch Collection, Patches Compendium, Patch Collection Addons) and then I had my bridges back.

Thank you Vertual26x and AugnierCalyenin for your responses it did wonders. Seams are gone and so is grass on roads.
One exception I found being in COTN Falkreath which has a seam by Dead man's Drink/Grey Pine Goods. Maybe setting Cities of the North cities as Worldspace Settings? I'm not sure.

I cant get this to work with Folkvangr. If I let Northern Roads load before, there are the missing roads, then if I change the group on LOOT, roads have no problem but half of Folkvangr grass turn grey even on green areas.

There's incompatibility between this mod, TGC of Rorikstead, eFPS and Rorikstead Burial site Or the tombstones float (the ground is on a lower level) or there's a fissure in the ground near the north exit or the town.I can't manage to fix it. Tried several load order alternatives, a lot of different patches and no results.

This mod adds 99% dirt roads but paints stone over a few areas "it doesn't actually look like stone it's a brush" like the area from Dragon Bridge to Solitude. Where are you expecting to see stone that there isn't? The screenshots show exactly what I just described. The only screenshots I see showing stone are in the Solitude area.

I know the "too much grass" on the roads is a common issue and have some "solutions" for that.
But there's some branches  on the important parts of the roads that even stops the npcs.
The some in Riverwood in front of the Inn and some in the middle of power stones, the ones in the beginning of the game.

That would be moot/redundant.  Northern Roads disables the road chunks.  So installing better meshes for them would be useless.

Is Blended Roads just a mesh replacer for the roads? If so, that would still be beneficial to have in your game IF you use other mods that use those assets. You won't see them with Northern Roads, but other world spaces or the likes by other mods would still benefit
