This mod will allow you to remove enchantment from any armor or weapon using the Magic Well in the College of Winterhold. It's powered by xEdit script and works with every armor and weapon element from vanilla and various mods. This is a kinda universal solution but you need to install it right, read the instructions very carefully. Very. Carefully.

Install Instructions
  • Install the mod as usual, use MO2 feature "Set as Data" on the mod's Data dir.
  • Activate the mod and place its plugin after all weapon/armor plugins you want to process.
  • Copy the content of "Edit Scripts" mod's archive to your "xEdit/Edit Scripts" dir.
  • Launch xEdit and load all weapon/armor plugins you want to process + "EnchantCleaner.esp".
  • Right click on "EnchantCleaner.esp" > Apply Script > Enchant-Cleaner-Patcher > OK.
  • Wait for the process to complete, you will see enchanted-disenchanted pairs in your log. There will be many of them.
  • If the plugin has less then 2048 new records you can set it ESL. Depends on your mods. Check the "Next Object ID" in File Header > HEDR, if it has "00000XXX" mask then ESL is ok. If the mask is "0000XXXX" (4 symbols) - not.
  • Exit xEdit saving the plugin.
  • You're done.

Usage Instructions
  • Go to the College of Winterhold and find the Magic Well in its main yard.
  • Activate it and select "Place Items".
  • Place your enchanted armor and weapon in the well. They will disappear but don't panic.
  • Exit the container menu, after this output container will open and you will be able to get disenchanted items from it.

More Info
  • Hand-enchanted items and vanilla items like "Daedric Sword of the Inferno" will be turned into vanilla like "Daedric Sword".
  • Unique items will be disenchanted as well but they will be non-temperable.
  • Staves will be turned into templates usable with Neloth's Staff Enchanter. But not unique staves! Don't disenchant unique staves, in most cases you will get a useless stick.
  • All disenchanted items will have correct stats like weight, base damage, cost, etc. Thanks to xEdit.
  • This mod requires the latest MXPF Updated package fixed for ESLs and other stuff. Always use GitHub to get its files.
  • If you have too many mods with enchanted armors or weapons you will fail because 255 limit for plugin master-files is still hardcoded. There's no way to avoid this if you decide to process more then 255 separate plugins with enchanted items. I'm sorry.
