This goes together really well with SkyClimb. With that mod, you can climb up somewhere that enemies can't get to you, and this mod stops you taking 300 arrows with you. Great stuff.

what happens when you're crafting arrows? do they just fall to the ground?

haven't tested crafting, but buying arrows costs you money but the vendor keeps the arrows

If you are using SKSE then the money should be returned to you, although it will not appear until you exit the vendor.

When crafting, arrows will just fall to the ground.

Noticed it as well, and just tested it. When buying arrows with the quiver full, the vendor keeps the money.
      I'm on AE 1.6.353 and skse64_2_01_05.

the thing is you have to higher the damage if you lower the arrow count in order to make it harder but still fair, another cool feature would be to remove arrows form enemies and dungeons so you have a harder time get them, and make them more pricy in vendors would be awesome to have such changes *-*

It's not like it takes 20 arrows to kill most enemies, so running out is actually pretty rare. What does happen is that you enter a dungeon with ebony arrows and then you restock as you go, so you leave the dungeon with iron arrows.

There's another mod called location damage for VR that increases the arrow strength which is the main reason I need this mod to limit my quiver to like 6 arrows.

If not for my uber tough dragons. I'd go with this mod.  Great concept

    Awesome idea! Trying it out.

Usually when i like to make game harder, i don't go adjusting difficulty, but i install simple mods, which change one thing and it's night and day diffrence! For e.g. combine this with limited leveling and health regen mod and you're up for treat, or tomb.

I really, really love this mod, but it does not count most arrows added by other mods that I have installed. I saw that this subject came up a while ago, but the conversation just kind of ended.

Thank you for this. It feels like it should have been in the game from the get-go when the max count is set to like 50 (1 score in the quiver and 4 attached to your pack in a bundle, if you want an "immersive justification" lol). It's enough to have a variety of arrows when you are playing a pure archer or a hybrid archer-warrior (I almost always use an arrow to pick off mages and archers before charging in with the old sword-n-board) without getting so loaded down with arrows that they lose all value.

For some unkown reason the max number of arrows I can have is the number set in the MCM minus twenty three.

    nÂȘ= (MCM-23)

I wanted to have 48, but I can only have 25. "Well, then just put 71".
Ok, I can do that, but what can be the cause of this error?
Is my character hidding some arrows or what?

(I have tryed using console comands to stot and start the quest. Edited the number inside the esp file using SSEDIT. Nothing works.)

This is due to the fact that the default player in the Creation Kit has 23 iron arrows, a suit of iron armor, and an iron greatsword. For some reason all of these items get counted when you use certain condition functions. There's a mod that fixes it out there, but really you can just put 71.

Hello! I featured this mod in one of my Hidden Gems showcase videos. Here is the link, if you would like to post it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6U7Rq4oCg5o

Awesome mod. So cool I dont have to do this in my head anymore.  Wanted this for a long time!  One hiccup though.  The mod throwing weapons lite ends up being taken into account for ammo limiter.  So if you are maxxed out on say bolts (or the other, whatever version you choose) you will not be able to pick up more throwing weapons.  Is there any way you think there could be a work around for this?  Since they are not in the form id lists, they are not taken into account in the total count intially, but if you are at your max, you cannot pick up anymore.  So they dont go towards your total, they just are treated like "too much ammo"
