Added a workaround for Nessa losing her gear. Her coin now has an option to toggle it being forced.
Lesson learned: Don't make characters that can die and come back to life. The engine doesn't like it.
Lots of 1s today. Bethesda would be proud.
Version 1.6
Nessa is no longer flagged for inheritance payouts on death. Looks like the Imperial Tax Office is cracking down.
Version 1.5
Removed custom armour and my crappy kitbash, only keeping Nessa's prosthetic as part of gloves slot. This is the best possible compromise, given its importance to her character.
Rolled in option with her Lucky Coin to toggle her as essential. This will prevent engine jank caused by resurrecting. WARNING: be careful with this at certain points in her quests! If you can't progress, she needs to be unessential.
This will also act as a workaround for the trading issue on resurrecting. The engine really doesn't like characters coming back to life.
Fixed naked issue since she now has a default outfit regardless.
Prosthetic is equipped via a script, but this can also be toggled through her coin. Just make sure to take it out of her inventory first before giving other armour.
Added custom combat style, instead of the original which would never use ranged weapons.
Nessa's ghost now inherits the same appearance, meaning replacers will remain consistent for her.
Misc. fixes.
I can't promise that this will play nice on existing saves, particularly the armour changes. Make a save before updating.
Version 1.1
Fixed issue causing dialogue to lock up during Nessa's flirting scene, making players unable to progress.
Nessa's outfit is no longer forced, but optional. Be aware that her prosthetic is a part of it.
New save is recommended because, like Eris, this changes an existing script.
Version 1.0
Initial release. Ported from LE.
"Are you watching closely?"
Sanessa - or Nessa for short - is a thief and all-round roguish type that has been travelling Tamriel for some time. Originally from one of the minor Crowns houses of Hammerfell, ever mired in traditions, she struck out on her own to seek her fortune.
A kleptomaniac from a young age, stealing for the thrill of it, she is laidback, savvy... a free spirit that doesn't like to be tied down in any way. Nessa also cannot die due to her last job that went very, very wrong... losing her arm in the process.
To find her, head to the Frostfruit Inn in Rorikstead.
With over 800 lines, multiple quests, full reactivity including factions and DLC, a custom outfit, high quality dialogue and more, Nessa is bound to leave an impression on your playthrough.
Just keep your coin purse close.
Installation
Drop it in your Data folder or install with a mod manager as usual. The SE in the title is not tied to game version, it also works with the AE update.
Nessa's lucky coin can be used to toggle sandboxing or summon her, should she disappear. I also recommend using a ragdoll fix to avoid the goofy physics on resurrecting.
She was made with a custom framework, so NFF, AFT, UFO, etc. are not supported. Use them at your own risk.
