CACO + CC Growable Plants
by Demon9ne

Plants from Saints and Seducers - Growable Plants can be grown in Hearthfire planters with CACO functionality (fertilizer)

Requirements

- Skyrim SE/AE
- Creation Club: Rare Curios
- Creation Club: Saints and Seducers
- Saints and Seducers - Growable Plants - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/30729
- Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (CACO) - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19924
- FormList Manipulator (FLM) - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/74037

Note that this mod does not incorporate the content from Creation Club: Goblins, because it is not free. Maybe someday.

Installation

If you already have the requirements above installed, it's safe to say you know how to install this. Just overwrite those, where files conflict.

Be cautious: Clear your planters and save your game in a cell without planters before installing this during an existing playthrough.

This mod is an ESL-flagged ESP.

Details

This mod is slightly more than a patch, because I attempt to fix problems as they arise during testing.

- Plants from the Skyrim DLCs (Dawnguard and Dragonborn) are balanced by CACO.
- Plants from the Creation Club content are balanced by S&S Growable Plants. (Typically yielding 3/harvest, or 6/harvest fertilized, if MCM-enabled.)
- Jarrin Root and Soul Husk from SE are also balanced by S&S Growable Plants. They were not previously growable.
- This mod fixes a CACO oversight that allows soil to animate even while there is nothing planted.
- This mod fixes a CACO oversight that allows the name of "Fertile Soil" to revert back to "Soil", even while fertilized.
- This mod slightly speeds up three vanilla scripts related to growing plants. (This mod contains no new scripts of its own, btw.)

Note that I am not 100% certain if all changes will apply if installed during an existing playthrough, but they worked in my own.

Changelog

v1.0.0
- Initial release
v1.0.1
- FormList entries are now injected at startup for compatibility with all mods that add new growable plants. FormList Manipulator is now required.
- Plant scaling is now relegated to an optional file, because it's more feature than fix, which is less appropriate for a compatibility patch.
- Comberry plant renamed from "Comberry" to "Comberry Bush".
v1.0.2
- Removed an erroneous line of code for testing that was naming Fertile Soil incorrectly. (Also updated the Plant Variance optional file.)
v1.0.3
- Fixed Stoneflower being ungrowable.
- Turned 'fertilizer used' and 'item planted' messageboxes into less annoying and more specific notifications.
- Improved script performance by replacing a loop with the find function and removing an empty conditional.

Optional File: Plant Variance

(Download after the main file; overwrite it.)

- Plants are randomly scaled and z-rotated to look varied and pseudorealistic. (Their appearance adjusts on cell entry.)
- Apple trees are also randomly scaled and z-rotated, but their scale is lowered to minimize clipping.
- v1.0.1 of Plant Variance fixes a minor bug renaming soil.
- v1.0.2 of Plant Variance is reworked to be less disappointing. Scale and rotation are decoupled from soil, which was resulting in mostly undersized plants or soil clipping.

Optional File: Jazbay Fertilizer

(This is just for fun. Should be non-conflicting. Contains one new script.)

- Completing the Sarethi Farm quest Smooth Jazbay unlocks a cookpot recipe to make a new fertilizer made from Jazbay Grapes. It's what plants crave.
- The vanilla quest itself is intentionally untouched, for compatibility's sake. This means you should unlock the recipe immediately after its completion, but must save and reload once to use the fertilizer.
- v1.0.1 of Jazbay Fertilizer fixes a potentially severe bug that could cause it to eventually stop functioning.
- v1.0.2 of Jazbay Fertilizer has fertilizer now correctly categorized as a poison.
