I am a massive fan of MaskedRPGFan's mods and have maybe 80 percent of them in my load order. His/her work is crazy good. These MCM mods are great and help tailor the game to your liking, but with a caveat. If you use Nether's Follower Framework, it does everything this does for every follower you have.
I do not use it for my game, but I modded my little girl's game for her (mostly vanilla); she only runs with Inigo and Recorder - (her favorite blue cat and a ditzy female friend).
So this MCM is very helpful for those who do not use a follower management tool like NFF; I can't speak to EBT since I haven't used it in so long. Just a heads up - and a shout out to one of my favorite creators.
If other see this post do not use Recorder, or any custom unique follower, with any Follower Manager or Framework. Recorder has her own built-in management functions and AI.
Hi, thanks for this, I'm glad I don't have to add it to my framework for it to walk around. Question: is it hard to add a sandbox to any other follower? I'm particularly interested in Onean. I have to sacrifice some of her built-in features, such as AI in combat, in order for her to walk around.
Hmm...loading after the Bugfix mod like instructed, but I'm still not getting the MCM menu to load up. Attempts to force it via "setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1" had no effect either - and yes the mod is enabled in MO2. =) The only listed conflict is the your copy of the recordercommentsscript01.pex with the original mod.
It's far more likely to be something with my mod list than a bug but I was wondering if you had any suggestions for troubleshooting. The MCMHelper.log file has no entries for anything with a "recorder" string in it, leading me to believe it really isn't loading for some reason.
Hi diskdevl, Please enable Papyrus logging and put the log (My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\Logs\Script\Papyrus.0.log) in a spoiler. Make sure the following files exist: MCM\Config\Recorder MCM\settings.ini MCM\Config\Recorder MCM\config.json
You can also do a simple test: run the game only with mods like GUI, Recorder and Recorder MCM.
Looks like it's about 45 MB from my last run, with no mentions of "recorder" in the file. I think I'm going to have to run a stripped-down game with just those few requirements as you mentioned and see what happens. I may also kick off a new game with the existing load order and see what happens.
