    Sticky
If you're not a fan of pets being marked as Teammates (due to it making them a target for enemies), try out I'm Walkin' Here NG with Pets instead! It's a DLL replacer for I'm Walkin' Here and doesn't include any script edits. (Not tested myself, but the description is promising.)

Thanks for this tip, tested and approved in version 1170, eliminated collision of followers and pets :)

So sad when I saw that may cause pets to become a target for enemies TT

Indeed. If anyone has any solutions to that I'm happy to consider them!

Is it this mod that's not working, or I'm Walkin Here NG? Because this mod only flags the pets as Teammates, which itself doesn't do anything unless another mod such as that one is installed to disable collision on teammates.

Otherwise you might have another mod that's editing PetFramework_PetQuest.pex and overwriting this one.

hello, yes , im using "I'm walking here NG"

I dont remember using mod that alters pets of skyrim CC but is there a way to know it perhaps?

currently using latest on steam, yes the main required file works with followers but pets does not.

If you're using MO2 or Vortex, look for the "loose files overwritten" conflict warning.

Another thing to note is that this mod and I'm Walkin Here only work when followers are actively following or waiting, i.e. it doesn't work if they've been dismissed and you are running into them around the house.

There is no loose files conflict at all.

Just to check, you have dismissed your pets and "re-recruited" them since installing the mod, right?

    Just noting my experience.
    Skyrim GOG v1.6.659
The mod works for me when the pets are with me or the "wait here" function is use on them but when the "wait at home" function is us on them their collision is brought back.

That's technically working as intended, as when they are at home they are "dismissed" and no longer considered a teammate.

Tried this with I'm Walkin' Here and while it does work I've run into a bit of a problem.  By making the pets be seen as teammates, it seems to make enemies think they're valid targets.  And while it IS amusing to see a blood dragon try in vain to harm an adorable goat with a backpack while I stand there filling it with arrows, it makes things a bit too easy.  Is there some way to fix this?

Hmm... not sure. If we didn't make them teammates, the whole thing would have to be recoded at the base level which I'm not equipped to do. But this is something that's only specific to Pets of Skyrim and other pets which use PetFramework - Meeko and Vigilance were always coded as Teammates, so if the dragons never attacked them before, that's probably not the issue.

Has anyone figured out a fix to this? It's pretty much pointless traveling with these pets when they act as target dummies.

Unfortunately no fix, and even simply uninstalling the mod doesn't fix the issue, I can still walk through the pets and uninstalling I'm Walking Here they're still targeted by enemies. I can only assume this mod is baked into the save file. I've deleted and reinstalled a bunch of scripts and become very familiar with creation kit, to no avail

Yup, same issue. Makes them useless to take along on a sneaky character. And it does persist, even with mod removed, scripts cleaned, pet sent home and picked up again......shame really. Won't be using any pets on this save.

I wish there was a working mod that made the useless bastards actually participate in combat, like Dogmeat or Rex in Fallout 3/New Vegas

is it possible to make pets use the normal animal companion slot so that you cant make an infinite amount of them follow you?

Is it possible? Most likely. But there are only five pets total in Pets of Skyrim (plus a couple more across the rest of CC), and that sort of thing is not in scope for this mod. This is about collision and collision only.

I currently have the Scritch ragnar pet with me and this mod doesn't seem to work on him, he still always blocks my path. I haven't tried the mod with other pets yet so I don't know if it's a mod install issue (i.e. mod not working for me) or a pet issue (i.e. mod not compatible with certain pets).

Any clues? Is there a specific mod order to follow? I'm also using "I'm walking here!" to get rid of all hinderances to my movement across the narrow Skyrim dungeons, so any hint is welcome.

It should work with Scritch - check that nothing else is overwriting the loose file PetFramework_PetQuest.pex, and note also that if you already recruited any pet before installing this mod, you need to dismiss them and recruit them again for it to work.

Ok, I will try that and report back.

EDIT: thx a lot, it worked indeed. Active pets need to be dismissed and rehired again for the mod to take effect.
Now though, I'm never ever stuck in doorways, which is a blessing...

Can you add the bone wolf pet to this?  His bonus damage to undead makes me want to take him everywhere, but he stands in doorways a lot.

As a Creation Club pet I would have expected it to run off the same script as the others, and so therefore would already work. That Creation doesn't include its script sources though (as far as I can see), so it's not easy to edit.

Came to ask the same thing.  Well, I guess it's better than nothing for now. The spider and goblin were stressing me out especially.  LOL.

Is it possible to add the Skeevers from the per "Rat King" to this?  They are constantly blocking my movement in dungeons.

    Thanks!

Is that from Ordinator? Probably better to ask Enai if the skeevers can be set as a PlayerTeammate directly.
