Hi - used and loved this mod for years with 1.5.97. Upgraded to 1.6.1170. The mod distributes the smp hair but vanilla hair can be seen under the smp hair and sometimes clips through the top of the head.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions?
I may be pointing at the wrong mod. The problem occurs even using just KS Hairdo SMP even without your mod. Must be doing something wrong installing the hairs.
Had to uninstall this mod and the male version. Causing face discoloration even with the fix. This is after installing the Nolvus mod pack. I"m guessing it's conflicting with something in there, but this is definitely an issue related to this mod.
I'd recommend testing on a minimum load order to see if things work on your end with just this mod and its dependencies. Nolvus is a huge list so I imagine there's room for lots of conflicts there. In my own setups I've never experienced this though so if you do test I'd appreciate it if you'd make a bug report and make note of how it goes.
Hi, i really like this mod but i had to unfortunately uninstall it. Like many others, its giving me black face for every female npc, with any other npc replacer, bijin, pandorables, the ordinary women. Also conflicts with enhanced solitude and palaces and castles.
Really nice mod, but unfortunately i couldnt fix any of the black faces with ck at all so i had to let it go.
It sounds like you might be using the wrong version of Face Discoloration Fix or there's a conflict. I'd recommend testing on a minimum setup with just this mod and its requirements. I've never had this issue, so I'd appreciate it if you could make a bug report and leave your testing results there for others that might be experiencing the same.
@Adynamia99 This mod will work for any NPCs in your game using vanilla hairs.
@kinektion This mod only touches vanilla headparts, female hairs specifically, so load order doesn't matter much since it's rare for mods to replace vanilla headparts. If you're experiencing issues and you know or suspect other mods might be replacing headparts in your LO, you could start there for why you experienced black face bug.
This mod caused my character to randomly have their face get messed up when going through doors and fast traveling, every time I changed cells there was like a 30% chance that my characters warpaint would change or I would get the dark face bug. I have all of the requirements for this mod including the Face Discoloration Fix, but that does nothing for me. It took me 6 hours of brute force testing to figure out which mod was causing this issue and it's a shame that it's this one because I quite like the mod.
Have you tested on a minimum mod list - just this mod and its requirements? I use this mod in all my load orders and haven't been able to replicate this issue. The only similar case I'm aware of is after exiting Racemenu, warpaints and skin tones may change, but saving and reloading fixes it and doesn't occur until you open and close Racemenu again.
No, I had over 500 mods installed but they were all what I consider to be my "Core", basically all SKSE Plugins, Bug Fixes, Armors and a small handful of other RaceMenu plugins, stuff that generally should never conflict or require patches, while it is possible that it's a conflict with another mod, I couldn't even begin to guess which one it would be. I might try testing it with only a few mods installed sometime in the future but I don't have time currently.
I am going to give your mod a look . .. I have been trying to make the random ks hairs smp with spid work . . but it seems to be eating up my scripting(I am assuming its scripting is causing lags & possibly the occasional freeze). I liked it because it covered all npcs . . . I have mods like more bandit camps obis populated hell immersive wenches, jks skyrim, EVW & used to use the older versions of mods that add ks hair for these but the space those take up is A LOT . . . . I am thinking most the mods I add use vanilla hair although I am not sure (other then individual follower mods) - - I will have to play and find out !!!
SMP and physics are more demanding on the cpu. I've just tested this mod rigth here and it seems to be working fine. I've posted screenshots of how it looks ingame so far also
It has been a great upgrade from the random ks hairs mod, things running much better - - - success so far. . .happy & allows the many followers in my game to keep their hairs if they do not have ks

Since all female NPCs using vanilla hairs will now have SMP hair, you'll likely experience a performance impact probably.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions?
