  Why can't I update/install mid-save?
  "Unwound Edition" is a huge update involving rewrites of many scripts and redesigns of the backend of many game mechanics. Updating from an earlier version would break the mod, even if you haven't started the quest yet (more than half the quests start running as soon as you start a new game). The plugin is also now flagged as an ESM, so every mod below it will get moved around - that's a big nono and will seriously shorten the life of your save/cause noticeable problems in some places. One of the most common issues is the game taking forever to save. I've had perfect saves that were hundreds of hours old, and I could go back to my very first hard save of the playthrough with zero problems. Love your load order and it will love you back :)
