Been looking for a relatively lightweight 'durability' mod. One of the many things I miss from Morrowind. Is this compatible with perk overhauls? Namely Ordinator?
Would it be possible through SPID or Skypatches in your opinion to associate different states of hardening of a weapon/armor with visual degradation layers, as done for example by the mod “Dirt and Blood - Dynamic Visual Effects” for different states of dirt and wounds?
It can be done, there's a mod on LL that does exactly that: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/198308-visual-degradation-for-clothingarmor/ However, it was never updated past a few vanilla armors. It just swaps the model at different levels of damage, so would require multiple stages of destruction for each armor, which while completely badass, nobody is going to go through the effort of actually doing.
I do not understand what this mod does when it comes to degradation. What happens when a item degrades? Since there is no break system what does it mean? Stat changes? what is the thing that changes the lower a item gets?
I installed the mod.. but doesn't seems working at all (obviously I already have installed all the requirements). I mean, I don't see at all (after waiting a while) the mod's mcm menu; and after quite some hrs playing (and fighting), no armor or weapon are getting damaged so far...
I've checked the requirements (I have them all installed)... I've started a new game... ...tones of mcm menus have been loaded... this mod here, never (yet).
Perhaps, do I need perks of blacksmith, so this mod start working?
Does this work on armor that is not in the vanilla slots? Like modular armor from other mods? These armors are made up of multiple pieces in different slots rather than just having a full torso armor in the main slot. So, would my pauldrons or my pants also degrade or just the torso piece?
Thank you for this nice mod. I was wondering if there is any way to display the armor health on HUD, just like the Edryu's Widget does with weapons. Thanks again!
Hi! Just in case you have any interest in answering questions about the mod or potentially furthering its development: I love what you've done with a character's smithing level reducing the rate at which durability falls. Is it possible to change the ultimate value of 50% reduction to 100% reduction at 100 Smithing? If that's something I can do myself I'd love an idea of how to do so, if not - an MCM would be amazing to alter that value! (if one already exists even better!)
