from Logical Crime Report description (this is a FOMOD repacker of that mod): "...NARC Remade is basically the same mod, except that (in LCR) you no longer have to choose between core modules, some unnecessary edits are removed and there are more consistency patches"
First, NARC Remade came out in 2018 - And was updated in 2021.
Then, Logical Crime Report (the original) came out in 2021 - And was updated earlier this year. It's basically the same as NARC Remade, but further improved with patches and the like.
Now, there's this mod. Which is basically the same as (original) Logical Crime Report - But it's integrated with FOMOD installation.
Yeah, it seems that LCR covers more factions than NARC and Critters Ain't Snitches - in terms of coverage, it goes LCR -> NARC -> CAS. LCR does seem to do a bit more than NARC: for example, it sets "Ignore Crimes: Assault" for ThievesGuildFaction, while NARC does not. (Perhaps that was an intentional choice by the author?). LCR also sets "Do not report crimes against members" for PreyFaction, while NARC doesn't. Is this really needed? Maybe not, but I think it can't hurt and provides peace of mind on setups where consoling away crimes is annoying (e.g., Requiem and losing divine blessings).
In terms of wild edits from NARC, I'm not experienced enough with Skyrim modding to say if they matter (probably not), but one example is PaarthurnaxFaction. NARC adds vendor values that are not present in Skyrim.esm, and LCR does not.
I do plan to maintain this, so I will likely try to go through and standardize LCR at some point, but I'm mostly focused on finishing a bunch of Requiem patches I'm personally using currently.
What patch files are you using? Can't reproduce and all the files I checked don't edit anything related to that. I'm going to say this is likely another mod's issue.
You can download Simple Offence Suppression and change the settings (.ini file) so that all hits during combat/friendly fire are ignored (like followers). Unfortunately, applying it only to chickens is beyond me right now :)
