DESCRIPTION
SMIM is a great mod, but the installer doesn't give you any option to change the textures of the upper furnitures. The upper furnitures were designed so that they will blend in with the noble furnitures. In the game, it is very common for upper and noble furnitures to be mixed together. The HD texture options for the upper furnitures are included in the mod, but there isn't any option for them in the installer. This would not be an issue if the installer doesn't mismatch the upper furniture textures with the common furniture textures. However, it does indeed mismatch them unless you choose the low-res texture option. Not only do the SMIM upper furnitures look bad, but they look even worst when mixed with the noble furnitures. This mod fixes the error in the installer by providing the correctly packaged textures. It has 2K and 4K options for "Smooth" and "Weathered Dark" upper furniture textures. This is also a fix for XilaMonstrr's SMIM 4K - Cleaned and Upscaled Textures for Static Mesh Improvement Mod. That mod also includes the textures but also has no option to install them. The 2K textures are the original textures that comes with SIMM. The 4K textures are the cleaned and upscaled textures from XilaMonstrr's mod. The "Smooth Dark" options are edited versions of XilaMonstrr's SMIM 4K textures and have new normals. They are made to look better and to blend in better with ElSopa - Noble Furniture HD SE. The main options will only fix the upper furnitures. They don't affect textures for common and noble furnitures.

INSTALLATION AND USAGE
Add the contents of archive to the Data directory manually or with a mod manager. Install this mod after SMIM and any other SMIM texture mod that affects upper furnitures. If using a mod manager, place this after SMIM and any other SMIM texture mod that affects upper furnitures in the installation order. This mod can be install after the 4K SMIM Furniture Improvement mod if you prefer the upper furnitures to have smoother legs. Install this mod after SMIM 4K - Cleaned and Upscaled Textures for Static Mesh Improvement Mod, if you are also using that mod. This should also be installed after Static Mesh improvement Mod - SMIM - Quality Add-on. Note that the SMIM textures will only work for meshes that use SMIM texture paths. If the mod doesn't work, you either have an incorrect installation order or the meshes you are using do not use SMIM texture paths. Note that "installation" order is not the same as "mod" or "plugin" load order.
SMIM UpFurnSmoothDark
A darker and slightly reddish retexture of the SMIM upper furnitures. This will make the upper furnitures look like they are made of more expensive and higher quality wood. This version is more uniform and blends in better with ElSopa - Noble Furniture HD SE and other rich looking noble furniture texture mods. The meshes have the corrected texture paths. This has 1K through 4K options. Install these options after other texture mods.
SMIM NobleChairDark
A darker retexture of the SMIM noble chairs. This will blend in better with SMIM UpFurnSmoothDark and ElSopa - Noble Furniture HD SE. This has 1K through 4K options. Install these options after other mesh and texture mods.
NobleChairMeshes
These are vanilla meshes for the noble chairs. Install this after SMIM or other mesh replacers to restore texture paths. Use this if the texture replacer you want to use doesn't work with SMIM, SFCO, or other mesh replacers.
HolidaysCathedralWreath
Replaces the snow berry wreathes from the Holidays mod with the wreathes from Cathedral - 3D Snow Berries. Requires Holidays and Cathedral - 3D Snow Berries and must be installed after Holidays. This is a mesh replacer only. It has no esp.
Silver Objects SMIMed Floating Goblet Fix
A mesh replacer that fixes the floating static Jewelled Goblet from the Silver Objects SMIMed mod. This mod lowers the mesh of the static version of the Jewelled Goblet from the Silver Objects SMIMed mod to avoid floating issues in the Thieves Guild's headquarters and mods that uses that static. This should be install after the Silver Objects SMIMed mod. This patch will be remove when it is no longer needed.
USSEP Jeweled Goblet Fix
A mesh replacer that fixes the floating static Jewelled Goblet from USSEP. This mod lowers the mesh of the static version of the Jewelled Goblet from USSEP to avoid floating issues in the Thieves Guild's headquarters and mods that uses that static. This should be install after USSEP. This is the same fix as Silver Objects SMIMed Floating Goblet Fix, but for USSEP. If you are using the Silver Objects SMIMed Floating Goblet Fix or you are not using USSEP, you do not need to use this. This patch will be remove when it is no longer needed.
UNINSTALLING
Remove contents of the archive manually or with a mod manager.

Note that the main files are fixes rather than texture replacers as they are the original SMIM textures. The optional Smooth Dark options are replacers. They make upper furnitures look like they are made of more expensive and higher quality wood. They were made to match with ElSopa - Noble Furniture HD SE and other rich looking noble furniture texture mods. However, they will look too saturated if you are using mods such as Noble Skyrim Mod HD-2K. For those mods, the original SMIM textures are a better match. For other replacers, check the mods below. See the screenshots for a comparison.

PERMISSION
The 2K textures are from Brumbek's SMIM. The 4k textures are from XilaMonstrr's SMIM 4K - Cleaned and Upscaled Textures for Static Mesh Improvement Mod. The SMIM UpFurnSmoothDark textures are edited versions of XilaMonstrr's SMIM 4K. Refer to those mods for permission. Refer to wSkeever's Silver Objects SMIMed - Silver - Sovngarde - Thieves Guild - Vampire mod for permission for that mod. The noble chair meshes are Bethesda's SE versions. Refer to Bethesda's EULA for permission.
