This article will clarify the troubled development of my One-Handed Crossbow Framework aka OHCF mod, where I'm at, and what to do going forward.
I will refer to One-Handed Crossbow Framework as OHCF from here on.
Inspirations
OHCF started as a mod, inspired by the following sources:
Diablo III Demon Hunter, especially this trailer.
OSRS (Oldschool RuneScape): being able to wield a shield + crossbow to become a ranged tank.
D&D 5e / Baldur's Gate 3: Hand-crossbows being able to dual wield them, or use with other one-handed weapons.
I discovered some cool resources by BuddhaSante and decided to work with them on a mod.
