If anyone wants the FormIDs for the existing scimitar weapons to update the DAR conditions file such that the animations only play for these weapons, here they are:
Can anyone explain how I can get this to work? I have Attack MCO-DXP 1.5.97, all the requirements (that I believe). My combat works, I do have some custom animations for most of my weapons, but I can't seem to get these ones to work in general? I utilize Pandora over Nemesis, and I've tried a lot of different things. (Copying the animations from the DAR folders to OAR folders, a lot of uninstalling and reinstalling.) What could I be possibly missing?
Tried to add Compatibility for the scimitars added by the CC Ghosts of the Tribunal, but I can't get it to work, they keep using Elden Rim's animations (vanilla Skyrim's scimitars work fine).
Any chance you can utilize the scimitar keyword from New Weapon Types? That way, anyone who patches items that are scanned as scimitars (such as the Synthesis Weapon Keyword Patcher) can instantly make all weapons tagged compatible.
Edit: I adjusted the conditions files to include IsEquippedRightHasKeyword("NWTA.esp" | 0x0000D71), which means any weapon tagged as a scimitar through a patcher having the mod listed above as a reference will have animations. I'm happy to share the file if you would like.
Could you help me? I am trying to do what you suggested but it is not working and I can't figure it out. And furthermore, adding the keyword tag makes weapons that did work before no longer work. I added IsEquippedRightHasKeyword("NWTA.esp" | 0x002D71) OR IsEquippedRightHasKeyword("Update.esm" | 0x777786) to the end of each of the condition files, but they refuse to use the new animations and I don't understand why.
You should be seeing animations show up. Also, make sure that the conditions file for this mod is not being overwritten by another mod. That means that the weapon folder has a higher number than any others.

good lord u r a genius!!! i never thought the race based moveset actually improves my gameplay well since theyre taught to fight like that in their homeland at least thats how my brain works
The best-curved sword animations I have seen. Shame I can't use Mco. If possible do you have a Skysa version of this moveset or I guess i'll just have to save more money for a new PC.

Next, you need to do one of two things. Either download and install New Weapon Types with the scimitar support or use the synthesis weapon keyword patcher.
