    2.0 Update: Dec 9th, 2024

Sea Salt Deposits give chance at Frost Salt, Fire and Void as requested.
Added A Khajiit Sea Salt Vendor in Dawnstar (see video). He sells Sea Salt, Salt Pile, Frost, Void and Fire Salts.
Instead of using Blacksmith, you now need to find a Grain Mill to grind the Sea Salt.
ESP is now ESL compatible with all versions.
Highly encourage this update on a new save if you already use the mod as ESL changes Form names.
Now Yields 1 salt rock per hit, total of 6 hits.

    Hello...

Great mod, but almost every time I get salt, frost or fire salt - could you make a patch to reduce the chances or tell me if it can be done in SSEdit?

Which islands have salt? Please not be the freshwater islands...

They’re all over the islands in the northern ocean.

No problem! And it was one of my older mods so it's been lost in time. xD

i was wonder if possible, if you could make an optional mod that makes it to where when mining that salt instead of rare chance of gems you get a chance to get fire, frost, or void salts.

I love the idea of salt deposits, but using a smelter on the ore??? You should be able to process/pulverize your haul at ye local grist mill... to be more lore friendly.

I don't know if you will see this, but is this mod safe to compact form IDs and flag as an esl?

Looking at the mod in xEdit, this does qualify to be compact/convert to ESL flagged (ESPFE / ESPL).

Just ensure that you do not have any overwrites of the objects placed into the worldspace... else breakage galore will ensue! :)

Oh yeah, and don't use the ESL on a saved game. ESL 101...

I'll be converting this myself locally.

for cooking this mod is helpful. for salt piles are hard to find if you cook food regularly, they can only be found a few on bandits , food barrels, or sellers. but why melt the Sea Salt Rock on a Smelter? That feels wrong, you can just melt it in a cooking pot.
