One of my all-time favorite armor mods has to be ArK's Battle Mage Armor. It's such a simple yet great design, fitting any mage character that prefers using light armor. However, the mod has been long known to possess a couple of problems. Namely the lack of a tempering recipe for the cuirass. This mod has been made with the intention of fixing these issues and providing them for public use.
To list the changes this mod makes:
- Adds in new recipes for tempering and crafting, now providing the ability to craft an unenchanted version of the Battlemage Robes
- Unenchanted Robes require the Red College Robes, which alongside the Green College Robes has been properly added to the Radiant Raiment's merchant list.
- Adjusted the spelling of the armor pieces for consistency.
- Adjusted keywords for the Battlemage Robes so it's properly considered as armor along with all other armor pieces.
- Added survival keywords for the Hood and Wristguards, which register as Warm and Cold respectively. Other pieces of the armor will continue to register as normal warmth rating.
- Enchanted Robes, now renamed to Master Battlemage Robes, require the Arcane Smithing perk to craft, and retains the Master Robes of Destruction crafting requirement.
- Total armor rating has been adjusted to sit somewhere a little stronger than Scaled Armor. Advanced Armors perk is still required to craft the set.
I highly recommend using aMidianBorn Book of Silence with the original mod, though it is not a requirement.
I may change the Battlemage Staves to have an enchanted variant in the future. We'll see.
