Great mod. I think the Jarl should propose the house to you once you become the thane, because right now she is just saying "we don't have any house to offer in Morthal" but there is one (yours lol)

Great job Lazz, this is one of my favourite house mods.

Is there any chance we can get some optional files that move the location of the house?
For example to places near Riften and near Whiterun.
I think it would add flexibility to the mod, because Morthal is a bit of a remote place for one's main residence.

You write "small home" but it is only small relative to other mods. It is still just as big as vanilla Proudspire Manor or Hjerim, with more facilities. Though I like the "small" part. It breaks my suspension of disbelief to own a player home larger than the Blue Palace, for example.

(Of course, in actual lore maybe the dragonborn really would have a big castle because the canonical population of Skyrim would be 5 to 10 million people - assuming Skyrim is equivalent to the northern parts of the Roman Empire. This is represented by only about ~1,000 NPCs in-game. Same scale for distances. Still, I think it's immersion breaking to have a bigger home than any jarl or the claimants to the throne.)

Anyways, good job on this mod.

Given it's placement, I doubt that this hous will be compatible with JK's Skyrim. If I remember correctly, there's a fence right in the middle of this house.

I have both, the fence just barely misses the side of the house so there's no clipping

This is also not compatable with Morthal Vendor and Blacksmith SSE ENG. The horse vendor/stable clips into the front of the house. It is too bad because it's a very nice house. If anyone happens to find a mod that adds a general store and smithy to Morthal without conflicting with Morthal Home SE. Please post news of your discovery.

I added Morthal House plus a blacksmith and general store from the following mods (from a save file of a game started in vanilla) and everything works:

      General Store: Morthal Where's Wares

Blacksmith: AW Morthal Blacksmith and Follower

@skyrimlazz or anyone else know if this home is compatible with 'The Great City of Morthal' or any other Morthal overhaul mods?

Beautiful home; especially for those who paid more attention to the potential of Morthal 'the haunted swamplands'. Fits perfectly with all of JK's Skyrim, Cities of the North, and the Great Cities (especially with The Great Cities of JK's North but be warned about that mod). It is a different building style from the rest of Morthal, yes. In fact, it is rather idiosyncratic. One can just headcanon that it was a custom home for a dead rich man or it's ancient or something. Good for those who like the idea of having a pretty, decently sized yet still compact house rather than those obnoxious mansions filled with harrowing, blank weapons plaques and mannequins that call for completionism and the deification of the player character.

Granted, that feature is still there in a cellar underneath a trap door in a small room. Hidden for those who wish to ignore that.

All of the table objects are static as well, with custom textures. So feel free to do parkour and swing your warhammer around, it won't hurt anything.

The only flaw I can note, however, is that the navmesh is just a little bit wonky outside of the home (children walking in place against the wall) as well as a lack of idle-markers outside of it as well and your inhabitants of the home seldom venture more than ten feet outside of it. I do not know if that is a me issue or this mods issue, but just fyi in case you run into it. Furthermore, the lighting outside is very limited. But one can add lighting themselves through the lantern or some settlement builder mod.

Other than that, I have no complaints here. Well done! This is my PC's forever home.

Umm.... it's half inside a hill and I can't access the door..... Any clues to what could be the issue?

I know my input is rather worthless given how late it is, but just an fyi for you or anyone else who sees this: I had this problem with 'The Marshlands' since that modifies the landscape.

An easy fix is to move Morthal Home below The Marshlands in the load order.

Hello, im losing all hope of getting any help with this, first of all thank you for your house mods, they've been awesome so far,  but im having trouble with the Morthal home, my followers treat me as a trespasser when I enter and I cant interact with them, Id be very grateful if I could get some help with this, also cant wait inside the house because im "trespassing" I think its fixable with the console but I need the set id...

Pretty confident that's not this mod. You or anyone having said or similar issues have a mod or game bug causing it may be as simple as reloading to a save before it started. You could have just killed something by accident like a chicken and it turned people hostile leading to issues etc. The trespassing thing I have had it happen in odd places but yeah loading an earlier save is a simple fix.

When playing Bethesda game make lots of saves when possible to have fall back positions especially if you are modding, Bethesda games have odd bugs just how it is at this point. Learned that lesson from using Oblivion on PS3 so rule one buy Bethesda games on PC lol rule two make lots of saves.
