    looks good.
for shipwood01 - it'd be good to add a normal map so installs that overwrite other mods don't leave one with a normal map mismatch.

    Hello Katoxivar,

Firstly I love this Retexture from you and i wanted to ask whether you can make this mod compatible with oldrim or is it already compatible with it

    Cheers

NMM requests that this mod replaces the following file from SMIM,

    textures\dungeons\imperial\impwood01_n.dds

That seems to imply that this boats texture mod will also change a texture used in dungeons?

So the mod author simply has taken Joy of Ships, made a minor differences and named it "Beautiful Boats". Not bad.

Lovely idea. Thanks. I like it. This mod really highlights the poor upkeep of boats in the game.

Here is food for thought...Please keep in mind water vessels must be kept water-tight and in "ship-shape". Skyrim only has what I would call worn out, probably un-seeworthy looking boats. Given the level of stone work, I would also have expected better kept boats.

But, does Skyrim have seeworthy, "new", or "ship-shape" boats, by which I mean, oiled, with tarred joints, painted/tarred below waterline, that are fully sealed, and have a look of well kept Pine lumber to them? No.

I'm not a modder, so can't say how hard it would be to include a mix of boats. I can only suggest that a "beautiful" Skyrim boat would have such characteristics. And in the best of worlds, we would see in Skyrim, a spectrum from new, seeworthy types to the near derelict types. Maybe even some on land, as well as on the water.

The mod is called beautiful boats not realistic boats.
