For anyone asking about sprinting in water looking weird, try this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/141076?tab=description
It disables sprinting when your 'speedmult' is below a certain threshold.
Update, tried it myself and it doesn't work unfortunately, it stops sprint based off 'speedmult', whereas this mod stops speed via a script, such a shame!
Tried this out in VR and it seems to load OK, no crashing. However, it doesn't seem to do anything. The closest I could find is Sink or Swim NG, which doesn't quite do the same thing: it prevents swimming while wearing full heavy armor.
So, just to clarify: 1) Is it still required to use the .esp from the original mod, as well as the new plugin? 2) If yes, has anyone confirmed that the original .esp can safely be flagged as ESL in xEdit?
[C7] WadeInWater.esp Can be turned into ESL by adding ESL flag in TES4 header
Are any of these possible to do? - Slower animation when going out of water after swimming so it doesn't look so snappy. - Slower sprinting animation when sprinting on shallow water.
uphill-downhill does not play well with sprint jump unfotunately, your position gets updated in mid air and will slow you down mid air by a lot. making jumping uneffective. I really wish I coud've kept uphill-downhill in my LO, it was awesome otherwise.
this was implemented into S.M.C Skyrim Motion Control sometime ago, you slow down on inclines and speed up running down hills and such. even has OAR animations for it but I didn't like them personally.
the mod it requires is outdated for version 1.6.1170 and apparently if you install it it works for a while, but then it damages the saved game, it happened to me and I read three people in the comments that the same thing happened to them, so it is a good reason not to install it, it is quite immersive, but better let it pass if you have version 1.6.1170.

Thanks!
2) Yes, there is already a ESLified version.

Sprinting animation is not controlled by me
Animation is controlled just by speed.
Absolute must of a mod. Love it!
