There is an option in MCM: "Infusion uses Dragon Soul" which by default happens only in combat, but you can pick either "always" or "never" if you want to keep all the souls. That feature was designed to avoid piling up dragon souls as an alternative to using souls as currency for something else if you want to have both - set "never".
P.S. You reminded me of that mod damn I'm proud of it, such a cool mechanic that doesn't feel like burden or too intrusive. I wish I could play Skyrim with it
MAn...everytime I found an amazing mod it is you the modder hahahahha I was trying to use the dragonborn pek tree but it was bothering me the overpower end shout (al du in) and that there were some bugs related that the modder there wouldnt fix...And then I found this one, no extra perk tree, just fun...thanks a lot.
Hey! Yeah, I recognize your username in notifications too A fellow fan of my mods. Glad you're enjoying my stuff Makes me want to continue doing things
Hey Sasnikol, I have an idea but I lack your talents to do it... See, my brother loves necromancy, but in skyrim the summon limit is really annoying...maybe a mod that consummes magicka but allows you to have as many summons as you want, at least ten...and with patches for adamant and your own other patches(adamant with vanilla perks, and the hand to hand...I do not if they could alter each other, but if they do add compatibilty...)...it would amazing and it would make a for a fun necromancer build...
I have issues on dying during specific conditions: 1. Loading a save file while my health is greatly reduced would result instant death. 2. If I spend dragon soul for shout while my health is low will result in instant death. 3. If I defeated a dragon while my health is low after absorbing dragon soul will result in instant death.
Conclusion: 1. Instant death happens because while loading a save file the mod doesnt load immediately causing the health returning to default value. Example: Total health is 1000 (500 base health + 500 Dragon soul health bonus) If health is reduced to less than 500 (Example: 300/1000HP) and the file is saved Base health will load first resulting (1000 Total health - 500 Dragon soul health = 500) Reduced health is 300 so (300 - 500 Dragon soul health = -200) = Instant death
2-3. Instant death happens because the value of dragon soul changes. For some reason while the value of Dragon soul is increased or decreased the bonus health will be removed first to replace it with the new one which result in instant death in the process of removal
After some reading, I seem to have discovered the operating mechanism of the Slow Time shout: the speed of an enemy after being slowed down is calculated as 1 - N%, where N is the value of the slowdown time. If mods like Dragonborn Aptitude that amplify shouts are used, it can cause the value of N to exceed 100, making the result of the formula negative and thus speeding up the enemy instead. For example, if the vanilla N value in the game is 50, and if you set the bonus per dragon soul to 5%, then 21 dragon souls will increase the vanilla N value by 1.05 times, resulting in a negative value for the formula and speeding up the enemy instead. So I'm wondering if there's a way to add an upper limit to the value of N, say 99%. In the vanilla game, the physical damage reduction provided by armor has an upper limit of 80%. If we can add a similar upper limit to the slowdown value N of the Slow Time shout, we can avoid the "bug" of speeding up enemies, and still allow the Slow Time shout to enjoy the linear benefits from the increase in the number of dragon souls, instead of removing it from the list.
Hey, yes, that’s a valid point. That’s why 10 dragon souls is the effective limit of all buffs. If you don’t use many mods that also increase the power then it should be safe. Otherwise tweaking in MCM is provided to fit as many other mods as possible.
But the idea of having an upper limit is something that I explore in one of my other projects that might be published
Hello, I'm not very familiar with mod - making, and this might be a silly question, but I'd be grateful if you could answer it. I'm wondering if all the editable values of dragon shouts are included in the scaling formula of this mod. For example, for the Unrelenting Force shout's stagger effect, in the vanilla game, you can meditate with Paarthurnax to increase the stagger effect by 25%, making the hit enemies fly further. If this mod is used to enhance the shout, will the enemies fly several times further than before? Another example is the range of effect. In the vanilla game, the damage range of Cloak of Flame will increase with the enhancement of alchemy potions (strangely, it seems that only the range of Cloak of Flame is affected, not Lightning or Frost). Will using this mod make the range of dragon shouts increase as the number of dragon souls increases? In Skyrim, various "increase [certain effect] by N%" situations seem to sometimes enhance all values, the Necromage perk enhances almost all the attributes of vampires, while sometimes only the damage value is increased.
Mod is great, but something is going wrong with slow time shout, it speeding up time instead of slowing if possible, i think that slow time should be buffed only on duration, but for power
You need to tone down Shout Power in MCM, it's 3% by default per soul, and it's capped at 30%. Forceful Tongue provides up to +75%, so if you set Shout Power to 2% then you should be capped at around 95% and avoid this problem.
Hi! Great Mod! This mod is essential when you play as the dragonborn. Dragon souls and shouts are no longer useless in the late game. If I may, can you also add a health/mana/stamina regeneration improvements? I think that would be awesome!
Ah, I vaguely remember of thinking about this idea, but probably decided against it as I was a bit afraid it would overpower the effect. I'll revisit this idea sometime in the future
How do I add a shout to ExcludedDurationShouts/ExcludedMagnitudeShouts? Never use sseedit before so I'm a complete noob to this. Want to add the slow time shout to the ExcludedDurationShouts.
You can load the plugin in xEdit, locate Form List ExcludedDurationShouts, right click on it, select "Copy as override", a new window will open prompting you to select a plugin where to copy the list. There you want to pick <new file> ESL plugin (see screenshot), give new file a name, it will be you small custom patch.
Spoiler:
Show
Now, on the left side you should have your new file at the very bottom of the list with a single record Form List. Click on that record, it will show you all the shouts that are included there by default, right click on an empty cell t the beginning of this list, there should be "Add" action available. Click that, and now a new entry in the list will appear that will look something like "NULL [00000000]". You double click on it and you gonna need to type in (and/or pick from drop down list) the shout you want to add. The slow time shout has FormID 00048AC9.
Before entering a shout you might want to find its EditorID since it's much easier to find the right thing in drop down list if you start typing EditorID. For that you just take the FormID of the shout (00048AC9) and paste it into the search field at the top-left corner of xEdit, hit Enter and it should focus you on the shout. On the right pane you'll be able to see and copy EditorID of that shout. Use that EditorID in the above steps to add the shout to the list.
Hit close and make sure to confirm saving only your file. Or press regular Ctrl + S to save without quitting.
Hope this helps I've written these instructions from the top of my head, so some you might want to refer to a guide or something in case I missed few steps, at this point these steps are so automatic for me
Does the exclusion lists support mod shouts? when I use sseedit to add a shout in ExcludedDurationShouts, it tells me FileID can not be mapped, I totally don't know how to modify the mod :(
Oh, it’s probably because the plugin from where you want to add shouts appears earlier (higher) in the list of loaded plugins. Anyways, you better copy that list to a new patch plugin and add new shouts there.
