I came here wondering the same thing, and decided to fix it myself. So here's an edited version of the patch that I made to work with USMP. :) It just replaces the required master from BU to USMP, and replaces BU's formIDs with USMP's.
In the newest version, is the ini file supposed to be in an additional folder? In the other FLM mods i saw the ini files laying freely in the data folder so that seems a little strange to me.
I found that the FLM version of this Mod did not work until I removed the subdirectory and put the INI file directly in the data folder. According to the FLM mod, it only looks in data and data/FLM for config files.
So, bottom line, no, it shouldn’t be in an additional folder. I use vortex so maybe other mod managers “fix” that for you?
Hi there, I'm releasing a set of .ini files for FormList Manipulator and want to include one for your mod. No changes are necessary - the tool skips entries that are already included in the formlist - but it would reduce patching. Regardless, I wanted to ask your permission.
Thanks for the mod and thank you VERY much for the links to other relevant butterfly related mods. I just hear Sheogorath say: "You know, I was there for that whole sordid affair. Marvelous times! Butterflies, blood, a Fox and severed head... Oh, and the cheese! To die for."

@TheShiningAbsol I suggest you officially support Unofficial Skyrim Modder's Patch - USMP SE since it is pretty popular anyway...

thanks for the mod
You could also make it fully compatible with all mods in the future if you use the example scripts from Dino's Snippets.
Which could dynamically add the bugs to the form list the minute you harvest a?ny bug.
