It's with great pleasure that I bring you a reworked version of Bellyache's Classic Animal and Creature Retextures.
Texture files in the original mod were mostly BC1 compression and a mix of 512, 1k and 2k resolutions. Now everything is BC7 compression and upscaled to either 2K or 4k resolution with full mipmaps.

I recommend using this with Bellyaches 8K-4K Dragon Replacer Pack and Bellyaches New Dragon Species 8K-4K

I cleaned and upscaled them using Cupscale/ESRGAN and then finalized with Octagon. This is a multistep process that takes a a significant amount of time for each individual file

Number of textures offered for each creature (includes new colors and modifications to the defaults):

Performance Options for Potato PCs
Mipmaps and BC7 compression reduce VRAM usage, especially when the files are cleaned of compression artifacts.
For Potato PCs, I've uploaded downscaled versions where the diffuse texture files are larger than normal and environment map files, which are less visible in game. This reduces VRAM usage considerably while maintaining higher visual quality, using the Octagon config files posted here.
Both are full versions with FOMOD installer, not requiring the main file.
Choose either:
2k/1k for Baked Potatoes
or
1k/512 for Mashed Potatoes

If you want full 2k or full 1k, etc, then use Cathedral Assets Optimizer
