If you're using Playable Sun Elves Race - Converted for Skyrim SE optional plugin "pse hirelings.esp" you may have an issue that prevents you to hire Erik the slayer and Stenvar, this patch tries to fix that by editing the problematic parts of that plugin and making the 2 male sun elves behave like the 2 female sun elves: you can hire them from the start without paying instead of having to pay them. I have also forwarded the fix to Erik the Slayer and Stenvar that were in USSEP but you don't need to have that mod for this to work.

This is a simple patch that should work fine with a new game so if you haven't started your playthrough yet just install and enjoy :)

Installation:
Just Use vortex/MO2 and install it, or drop the file into your data folder, if Vortex asks make this mod load after the original one, same thing for mo2 load this after the original mod and all should be fine.

Due to how the factions works in Skyrim i think you need to do more steps to have it working on an ongoing game otherwise you will not be able to recruit at all the 2 male sun elves hirelings (Minego and Forond). But don't be afraid you only need to put the optional file into the skyrim folder is and do the commands in this order:

• prid xx0012e9 [xx is the mod index of the esp (pse hirelings.esp) you can check from your mod manager]
• bat fixfactions
• prid xx0012d7 [xx is the mod index of the esp (pse hirelings.esp) you can check from your mod manager]
• bat fixfactions
  

After that you're done, Enjoy Erik the Slayer, Stenvar, Minego and Forond ;)
