This is a small offshot mod, which was my learning ground for testing faction / ownership changes with Papyrus scripting, as well as conditioned dynamic responses.
Features:
* Allows you to "purchase" Red Wave from Safia for 20k-30k septims (depending on how high your speech skill is) - she becomes an eligible follower / spouse candidate
* You can finally gift a flute to Eris, which will turn her into a functional bard, as well as ask her to follow you
* You can brag about your purchase to Sabine and make her acknowledge you as the new captain, as well as ask her to follow you
* Removes badmouth comments from Safia, Eris and Sabine once you raise their dispositions above zero
* Safia, Eris and Sabine are now set as Protected. They ignore crimes and will level up with you indefinitely
* 80 lines of fully voiced brandnew dialogue
F.A.Q.:
Q:Do I need this if I already have M.E.I. installed? A:No. An equivalent of 0.6.4 is already included with M.E.I., this release is left here for people who'd like to use the standalone build.
Q:Do I need M.E.I. for this to work? A:No, the plugin is self-contained. The only thing it shares with M.E.I. is a gifting Papyrus script.
Q: Is this compatible with SE (1.5.97) or AE (1.6.xxx)? A: Yes, works with both. In theory, should even work with LE.
Q: Are the vanilla quests related to these characters touched in any way? A: Yes, you can both save Safia from assassination and obtain Balmora Blue from Sabine for free.
Q: Will I need compatibility patches for visual NPC overhauls? A: Unfortunately, yes. You'll have to do them yourself in xEdit. Q: Hey! Eris took my Dancers Flute! A: She will take any kind of flute you have left in your inventory. If you don't have common flutes, you'll automatically give her that one. If you have none, the dialogue won't even appear. Worry not, since she's now your follower, you can take it back at any time and replace it with a common one. She won't complain.
Q: After giving her the flute, Eris told me she's a real bard from the college. What gives? A: The unfortunate side-effect of assigning her to JobBardFaction, which is why this mod is "beta".
Q: This mod is a mess! Can I fix / improve it? A: Yes, the permissions are open. I probably won't work on it any further.
