Breaks the armor into three different weight/protection categories. All are meant to be viable. All armor in a category share the same protection attributes outside their vanilla modifiers (which are reduced down to 20%). Instead I felt it would be more interesting if each set had a unique advantage, minus the entry level armor in each category (which has the advantage of cost).
Light (Good recovery, Good speed, poor protection against axes) Hide No bonus advantages Leather Better protection against arrows Scale Better protection against animal bites
Medium (Balanced speed and protection. Deflection starts here. Medium attack speeds) Iron No bonus advantages Steel Slightly better stamina recovery Elven Magic recovery on par with light armor Glass Stronger magic protection
Heavy (Very low speed, great protection, slower attack speeds) Steel Plate No bonus advantages Dwarven Better stagger resistance, poison resistance Orcish Attack speed on par with medium armor Ebony Extremely high fire protection Daedric Balanced elemental protection
