About this mod

Increases the Health of everyone except you the more time you spend in the same hold. Go to another hold for an easier time.

"People tell me there ain't no use in trying
Now my girl you're so young and pretty
And one thing I know is true
You'll be dead before your time is due"

I've created this mod because I always find myself spending most of a playthrough in the same general location. I wanted something that forces me to leave my comfort zone and explore more.

Basically, the more time you spend in the same hold, all NPCs and creatures will have their Health gradually increased by a flat amount, up to +10000 Health (configurable). Leaving that hold will make this Health increase gradually fall back to its original value. This, in turn, will force you to not spend too much time in a single hold, as everyone and everything in that hold slowly become too difficult to kill.

How the mod works: Uses SPID (required) to apply a spell to all NPCs and creatures every 60 seconds. This spell is dynamically changed depending on which hold you are and increases the Health of the one being affected. Thanks to SPID, performance shouldn't be affected even with a lot of NPCs and creatures.

Known issues:
  • Since the script only updates every 60 seconds, the Health spell won't be instantly updated when you go to another hold. The Health increase of the previous hold will still be active for a few seconds when you, for example, fast travel to another hold.
  • Some places like Solstheim and most other modded maps aren't considered to be part of any hold, and will not be affected by this mod unless they have the necessary hold keyword.
  • Every NPC and creature is affected, even small prey animals, random weak farmers and villagers, children, etc.
  • Battles between NPCs and creatures will be longer, as their damage is not affected. I'm thinking of increasing their damage as well in a later version of this mod.
