Loving the mod so far! I’m wondering if there maybe is a way to pick the placed camp/tent back up? Or is the placed camp now forever where I placed it? I would be grateful for any knowledge about this!
hey there. Im also having this issue, but im also not getting any options when clicking on the bedroll except for "sleep" I also can't seem to pick up cooking pots or tanning frames :( Any ideas? I can show a mod load order if necessary. Please let me know!
+1 Also having the same issue, cannot interact with the bedroll beyond sleeping, lying down, or sitting. The spacebar menus after sitting and lying down work, but not the option to pack up the tent, which is very frustrating.
My Instincts power keeps disappearing. I thought it was from You Are Not Special but I disabled that, and it still happens whenever I reload a save, even after giving it myself with player.addspell.
Don't get me wrong but, after having used Hunterborn since forever in an ever-changing environment with hundreds of mods, i nver even once had that problem. I would suggest checking for mod (perhaps script) interactions or collisions in your game.
I loaded Lost Legacy Wabbajack list which includes Campfire. I'm having the same problem. In MCM I remove the hotkey for Instincts, Craft Item, Harvest Wood and Create Campfire. Powers show up. Use them for a bit. Save, reload save, Powers are gone... not all of them every time. Like Instincts persisted through a few reloaded, but Harvest Wood definitely disappeared multiple times.
Since Campfire was in the modlist I'm a little reluctant to make uneducated load order changes. Any ideas what the culprit might be?
I am having an issue with the campfire powers, when I load a new save they do not appear in the powers list, but if I reload the save they appear.
If I use instincts, create item or the harvest wood powers, they all disappear after using one. if I save and reload, they appear again.
I use loot in MO2 but am guessing its due to a conflict? would anyone have an idea where I could start to isolate the issue?
EDIT: I have resolved the issue by assigning the hotkeys for those powers and then restoring default profile to reset them. No clue on what has caused the issue though.

This mod contains an obsolete copy of PapyrusUtil.dll. That is the main .dll file maintained by PapyrusUtil SE. If you allow this mod to overwrite PapyrusUtil SE, it will replace the up-to-date modern core of Papyrus Utilities, utilized by Frostfall and othe mods,with a version of the .dll file from at least seven years ago for a long-previous version of the game that will not work correctly in 2025 Skyrim AE and gum up your entire Papyrus script performance.
IF YOU ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN it will not immediately break your game. Instead you will get non-specific script lag and script issues and thousands of unspecific errors in your papyrus logs. It will magnify the more scripts you add to your game and the longer you play. Some things will be janky and you'll think that's just how it goes, but actually your game is completely broken because of Campfire's stone-age PapyrusUtil.dll file that is breaking mods that require these utilities and that can degrade the entire papyrus system. Frostfall usually manifests with issues first. If you're like me, you can struggle with this preventing you from properly enjoying your Skyrim mod setup and all of the hundreds of hours you put into it and thousands of hours mod creators poured in for years until you pin it down back to this, if you ever manage to figure it out. Troubleshooting this is nearly impossible because it's your script handling system that is breaking down inexplicably over time without any trace of any kind back to this mod in any of your logs, and with no breakage on the part of Campfire's own systems.

for the people that want a to-do-list: when installing campfire in MO2, don't click "ok" click "Manual", then expand "SKSE" then expand "Plugins" then uncheck "PapyrusUtil.dll" click "OK" that's it now you can place the "PapyrusUtil SE - Modders Scripting Utility Functions" anywhere you want and not under "campfire" 👍
Yes, it is completely safe to simply delete PapyrusUtil.dll from the Campfire mod, such as if you are using Vortex and right-click Campfire and select something like "open files" and then delete the PapyrusUtil.dll from the Campfire mod files in the popup. This is provided that you also have PapyrusUtils installed as well.
All you need to be mindful about is that you don't delete the PapyrusUtil.dll from the PapryusUtils mod. For example, if you go to your Skyrim's Data/SKSE/Plugins/ folder, you do need a Papyrus.dll to be there. It should just be the .dll from PapyrusUtils and not Campfire, and deleting PapyrusUtil.dll out of Campfire is a perfectly reasonable way to ensure this.
So I fucked up and let this happen. What do I do in this case? Reinstall campfire, removibg its old papyrus version and start a new game? Does it screw anything up in ini or other files that can’t be replaced? i just stood around in the Alternate Perspective Inn room for a bit to test some stuff and closed the game.
If you are doing a fresh install of this mod, simply install Campfire first, then PapyrusUtil. The newer PapyrusUtil will overwrite Campfire's. I assume updating works in the same order.
Hello, When I use any campfire, lit or not, it takes me directly to the crafting menu. I don't see the pop up menu first asking me to choose what I want to do, e.g. look at the campfire skills. Pls help :( Literally just as I tabbed back in the thrall showed up... Nevermind!
After a decade of Campfire-ing, a couple of issues. Well, one bug one quality of life:
1) I'm getting a recurring issue when I lay down on/in bedding/tents and un-equip gear, when I stand up and automatically re-equip I'm consistently spawning a duplicate copy of my main hand weapon on the ground next to my bedroll (I still have a copy in my inventory).
2) Is there a mod/script variant anywhere to add additional item slots to the unequip choices in the menu (eg belt pouches, cloaks)?
I'm fairly certain I isolated and "fixed" #1 previously, but it came back on my new game and I can't remember what I did to get rid of it.
