    Sticky
I see quite a lot of comments here about people not understanding what to do with your files. It would be just fine if you wrote what to do with the files, so that we would fix the problem you described. In addition, I was scared by the comment below, where a person launched one of your scripts and caused bugs in his game.
By the way, I also don’t understand what to do and I’m a little scared to make changes to all my files.

Yea I'm not the greatest wordsmith.  Bear with me I'll sticky this.

      For either references or navmeshes.

      Run a filter script

      Then
Select the filter results and run the Set script.

So run the filter references script.   Then expand the plugins left over in the filter, select the references that it lists, and apply the Set script to those references.

      And same deal for navmeshes.

Also  to be clear.   These are NOT for new users.   It is absolutely expected at a minimum that you fully understand how to use xEdit.  And know how to properly select things in the left pane and apply scripts.

Also if you ONLY apply the respective SET scripts to results of the similar FILTER script.   It will not break your save or any aspect of your game in any capacity.    These objects and navmeshes are way underground to begin with (or else the filter script wouldn't list them). So just raising them to the worldspace Z Floor still keeps them well underground.  But within the boundary of the worldspace.

Here following FreeFPS guide desperately trying to get more FPS because I'm running hundreds of mods on my OFFLINE, underpowered steam deck, literally just spent ~20 hrs of research and trial/error to get SSEEdit to actually launch because I haven't had to use it yet.  It's been a nightmare as I'm on steam deck w/Skyrim SE  installed on SD card and locations of plugins.txt, saves, skyyrim.ini files stored all over in different locations on steam deck's internal drive, AND it's completely OFFLINE ALWAYS(to avoid all the damn steam and steam game updates that have been screwing everything I've done so far) AND running old Vortex out of neccessity(v1.57 i think?).
Now I have to figure out how to use it[SSEEdit] and how to use these scripts with it(I have no effing clue, it's not intuitive for me and there's NO step by step guide for dummies like me how to).  BUT, I noticed if I open the options and go to the cleaning tab(whatever cleaning is???), it has an option to set Z postion to -30000.000000.  So are these[the scripts here] already implemented in SSEEdit(v4.0.4)?  Or do the scripts here do something different?  Sorry for being so dumb, info. on this stuff on steam deck is incredibly limited...I started modding for the first time when I got a steam deck to mess around with(been playing consoles exclusively since the early '80's) and I started adding mods to Skyrim SE in Feb. 2023 and am just now actually playing the damn game(that's how dumb about this stuff I am).
SO #1:  Is doing the "cleaning" thing in SSEEdit necessary/advised(not that I even know how to do it yet)?  #2:  Does it do the same thing as the scripts here I don't know how to use?
Also, BTW for anyone else on steam deck trying to get SSEEdit to launch, it only ever worked for me by putting in the command line parameter for the proper location of the Skyrim.ini file BEFORE the command line parameters for the location of Data folder, scripts, saves, or anything else.  If I specified with command line parameters the location of game directory, data folder, or anything else BEFORE specifyng the .ini direcetory, it[SEEedit] would ALWAYS truncate my input and never never never find the .ini file...Oh yeah, ALSO, running the OG skyrim launcher(as said to be a "fix" in a million posts I've read) does NOT work to solve the problem of "no modules found" or the fatal no .ini file errors.  Must be a steam deck thing...

holly s#*!, i just ran a synthesis version of the script. it's fucking shameful! the only objects and navmesh that were found to be out/bellow bounds either came from anniversary edition creation club mods, or from the base game itself...

can someone inform todd that the guillotine too "just werk" ?

I just want to add some clarification for people who are as dumb as I am. You disable simple records by going to the top left where the triple bars are and going into options. There will be a checkbox on the first tab (the one opened to by default, should now be in front of you). The option will say specifically "Simple records LAND, NAVI, NAVM, CELL, WRLD (requires restart)" (I am using the experimental build of xEdit released around a month ago for use with Starfield, but I assume it's the same for the last "stable" build from 4 years ago). Now, close xEdit (if it didn't close automatically) and just run the scripts like any other .exe in this order:

    1. Filter References By Z Floor

    2. Set References By Z Floor

    3. Filter Navmeshes By Z Floor

    4. Set Navmeshes By Z Floor

And you are good to go!

    Huh.  Interesting.

USSEP has some navmesh vertices way below -30k.

    Thanks for the scripts!

Which ones? I'm on an older version and when I run the navmesh filter script on either ussep or my whole load order incl ussep, nothing comes up.

Free FPS led me here, and I'm just gonna say I'll skip this mod for the moment. I spent around 2 months modding my Skyrim after not playing it for more than 5 years, and now I'm just trying to enjoy all the new content and mods but also get my FPS up but this mod is way too much rocket science for me atm. Even if you explained to me like I'm the stupidest person in the universe, I still wouldn't understand what to do. Maybe after I spend a few months in Skyrim, screw up my game completely, and have to reinstall all my mods from the beginning, then I wouldn't mind reading a full detailed instruction of how exactly to use this mod, if such detailed instructions do exist.

This isn't a mod?  This is an xEdit script?

Run one of the filter scripts, then run the relative set script on the results of the filter.  Thats it.

Also if you made any unintended changes, just don't save the plugins when you close xEdit
