What it does
Adds 4 new lightweight and script free perks that enhance spell and shield synergy.
Infused Stance
Lv1 + 25% Stamina & Magicka regen while wielding a shield, doubled when blocking.
Lv2 + 50% Stamina & Magicka regen while wielding a shield, tripled when blocking
Shieldcaster
+ 15% destruction damage while shield equipped
Sundering Slam
Bashing with a shield decreases target magic resistance by 30% for 10 seconds
Mystic Knight
15% magic absorption & resistance while wielding a shield, doubled when blocking
Why?
This started out as a personal project to flesh out my personal play-style and to help it keep up compared to
some of the other amazing builds and synergies from Enai Siaion's Ordinator Perks
Infused Stance may seem a tad OP for some vanilla players, but I normally play with reduced / no natural regen.
(Currently loving Vini's Legit Food and Rest)
Shieldcaster will offset some of the lost damage potential from missing out on 2 handed caster or spellsword perks.
However a defensive shield-centric build obviously won't focus as much on raw damage, so 15% makes sense to me.
Sundering Slam will allow you to dish out a decent debuff on enemies with a savage backhand at the cost of getting in close.
Mystic Knight exemplifies the concept of a heavy mage-tank trained in magic and damage mitigation
How?
All perks have been created using copied or modified vanilla magic effects applied via new abilities and perks.
As such this should be compatible with anything that doesn't modify the block perk tree with the exception of Ordinator.
Effect conditions will check if the actor using the perk has equipped a shield and whether or not they are blocking.
Custom shields etcetera will work if they meet "wornhaskeyword armorshield"
Since my CK refused to allow me to edit perk trees all perks & effects were created in the CK then attached to perk trees via SSEEdit and the amazing Automation Tools
Shieldcaster Perks.esp
Ordinator - Perks Of Skyrim.esp
Shieldcaster Perks - Ordinator.esp
If you're not using Ordinator ignore the last 2.
If you have another perk tree overhaul you can use the above mentioned Automation Tools to connect Shieldcaster Perks to your tree
Other Info
This is my first semi-serious mod as I have only just begun to delve into the world of Skyrim's CK,
as such I welcome feedback and comments, especially constructive ones.
Much thanks goes to EnaiSiaion for creating Ordinator, my favourite perk overhaul.
I also couldn't have done this without the TESV Edit Automation Tools
so thankyou to Mator and the other contributors
