Bees’ Extra NPCs includes:

- a total of 31 NPCs with schedules, outfits, inventories, and vanilla voices
- a few items and notes scattered around the world, both in the characters’ pockets and in their environments
- a no-journal treasure hunt quest

This was an exercise in using AI packages, and more importantly, creating facegen with racemenu-exported nifs. I wanted to push the limits--half races, different body types(well, as close as I could get just working with the head), things vanilla didn't really do justice. But not all NPCs have custom heads. It’s tedious and I’m not strong enough.
Busier cities have more NPCs added, and more cosmopolitan cities like Solitude have more diversity.

Compatibility:

- Place before any conflicting mods in your load order.
- All the assets used are vanilla, so it’ll use whatever texture mods you have(or don't have).
- May not be compatible with mods that radically change cities, because their schedules won’t work as intended if a reference required is missing or inaccessible. JK’s Interiors (or mods similar to it) should be fine, I use most of them myself.
- If you download mid-game, the worst that's likely to happen is Khaani's training function not working properly. Still, if you enable this mod in an existing save, you do so at your own risk.
- Do not use SSEEdit’s Quick Auto Clean function. It seems to export new facegen for all NPCs, undoing the changes made but the custom RaceMenu nifs.

FAQ:

Q: Can you change/remove x? I don’t like it.

A: No. Permissions are open - you’re free to make your own patch if you wish.

Q: Which character texture mods are you using in the screenshots?
A: Tempered Skins and Authentic Eyes.

Q: I found a conflict!
A: If it’s an ITM record in Bees’ Extra NPCs, let me know so I can fix it. Otherwise, let the other mod overwrite this one. It should not require a patch.

Q: How does the treasure hunt work?

You can start the hunt by finding a copy of “Forge, Hammer, and Anvil” in the player room in Solitude. It’ll give you instructions and tell you where to find the first dead drop.

The difficulty of this quest depends on how familiar you are with Skyrim’s locations, but expect to spend at least 30 min on it.

If you find the in-game instructions confusing:
There are 9 containers in total. Each one is hidden somewhere in Whiterun hold and has a name that matches its corresponding key. They’ll never be inside buildings or dungeons, but they may be near them.
In each one there’s the key to the next container, a reward(always two of the same item), and 1-2 lower value items that will give you a hint to the next location. The hint may be in the name of the item or its nature. The locations get increasingly difficult with each dead drop.

By the way, let me know what you think if you end up trying it out. Nobody has said anything about it yet and I’m genuinely curious.
