About this mod

Topaz DPM is a HD Diffuse texture upscaling, and Normal Map rebuild of all the vanilla Dragon Priest Masks, and those added by the Dragonborn DLC.

Permissions and credits
I originally made these as a base texture for a still WIP mod, and decided to release them as a standalone in the meantime.

These are for anyone who wants to retain the look of the vanilla style of masks, just at much higher quality. Loose or BSA, 2K, 4K and 8K* all with half size Normals and Metallics.
Every Diffuse Map (the coloured texture) has been upscaled using Topaz Gigapixel AI.
Every Normal Map (the texture that reflects light/shine/glossiness) has been rebuilt from the upscaled Diffuse Map, as a multi-layer Normal map.
Metallic Maps have been either added, or rebuilt.
Cube Maps updated using altered versions of fadingsignal’s Custom Cubemaps.



The mod has an .esp, If you're using the .bsa archive version, you'll need it. Otherwise it's a little optional, as follows:
The Vanilla masks, Miraak and Cultist will function without an .esp perfectly fine in the Loose folder structure.
The DLC Acolyte masks require a .esp for full effect, this is because Bethesda in their infinite wisdom made the Acolyte Masks as CK Texture sets tied to a single model.

The choice to make them work with individual Normal and Cube Maps is to either make a model for each, and use a .esp to link them, or alter the Texture sets in the CK (which is what the ‘TopazDPM.esp’ does), either way, a .esp was required for full function of the Acolyte masks.
You can choose to just not use the .esp with Loose files, in this case the Diffuse textures will work on the Acolyte Masks, but the Normal and Cube Maps will be the same for all, resulting in a reflective metallic that does not match the general mask colour for the Fire and Frost versions, (they will both use the dark grey Storm metallic reflections).

*8K; There is little upscale detail that can be gained from 4k to 8K, I have provided 8K here because Normal Maps and Metal Maps are half the size of a Diffuse, so 8K should have a slight increase when all is combined. It's there if you want it.
