I added an ESL flagged plugin containing a single book to the latest download in case anyone wants to read the modlist in game. To get the "Follow the Good Path" book in game, you need to use console commands. Just two commands required, see below:

Thanks to Cecell for the idea.

I kinda understand how dumb i probably sound by asking this, but this sounnd too good to be true. While I am still constructing my firt list and I'm ill practiced, i need to make sure these are the actuall mods themselves not just the list, right. it sure seems the case, beings an .espflagged file, but crap that is just tooo cool for all these mods i was going use esps for.
    Thanks!

Nope, sorry, this is a mod LIST only, not the mods themselves. The download in the files section is to get a book in game that only lists the mods. You need to decide yourself which of these mods you want, then you need to read their description page to see how to install it and if it's compatible with the rest of your mods. In other words all of the compatibility and installation and mod reconciliation is up to you. Also read my description page which notes that many of these mods will not work together because they directly conflict with each other which is why you have to pick and choose which ones you want.

Here are a couple of mods I don 't think I've seen mentioned yet, sorry if a repeat made it in:

Help restore Meridia's Order (Daedric but still good guy adjacent, love the complexity of the Daedra tbh), patch for VIGILANT available:
    Meridia's Order

Leaving an Oblivion Gate open to Skyrim is probably a bad idea... be warned if you close the gate it is PERMANENT:
The Cause Tweaks - Alternate Start and Close the Gates

"Allows you to turn in vampire dust, werewolf pelts, and daedra hearts to the vigilants in exchange for money, if you are wearing the amulet of stendarr.":
    Soldier of Stendarr

A little bit of a copout to a great morally gray difficult choice, but my Dragonborn is a Dunmer from the Gray Quarter who believes in conflict mediation. Don't massacre little blue men OR a camp of demoralized Nords!:
Pacifist Chief of Thirsk Hall - Recruit The Chief - No one need to die (Quest edit)

Another opportunity to fight against religious tyranny and racial supremacists:
    The Welkynar Knight - Quest

Give the child Lavinia a better gravesite:
    Lavinia's Memorial

Don't leave Katria to decompose in a ruin:
    Rest In Peace Katria

Rebuild the hall of the Vigilant. (Compatible with VIGILANT and Keeper Carcette Survives):
Stendarr Rising - Hall of the Vigilant Rebuild
Addon for Stendarr Rising which bring back Carcette (compatible with Keeper Carcette Survives)
    Stendarr Rising - Carcette Returns
    Keeper Carcette survives:
    Keeper Carcette Survives
A quest expanison to cure Carcette or encourage her to accept her Vampirism if you're one too. Includes patches for Keeper Carcette Survives, Stendarr Rising - Carcette Returns, and a Combo Patch to allow features from both without double (actually triple) Carcettes in the world:
A Cure for the Keeper - A Keeper Carcette Quest Mod

Neutral immersive quest with options to resolve it, feels like cut content but isn't:
    Unmasking Sybille

Help Rune uncover his past, feels like cut content but isn't:
    Revealing Rune

Extra reason to play with your kids:
Hide and Seek Grants Sneak XP

Companions pull their weight and help at the Watchtower fight:
    Companions at Mirmulnir

Another mostly neutral immersion mod but it complements more options for A Lovely Letter nicely. Camilla will marry the suitor you help or neither of them if you feel like they both suck and use a modded option:
    Camilla Gets Married (or not!)

Not sure if it fits but something feels off about every single eligible bachelor(ette) the land over wanting to marry you:
    Immersive Rejections
    See who isn't married!:
NPCs Wear Amulets of Mara Plus
    See who is married!:
Married NPCs Wear Wedding Bands (SPID - Left Hand Rings)

been using this list for years. if you're still updating it (or if there's anyone going through the comments for suggestions like i did lol) i have a few:
Redeeming Fultheim (give an old man a second chance. plays well with a Parthurnaax QE mod to make you want to deal with the blades)
Finding Helgi (don't quote me on it but i'm pretty sure you can get into Alva's cellar without killing Hroggar using this mod... i did an oopsie on my save but there is a trapdoor)
Bury Sinderion (this mod is so special to me. i've been playing with it since before the perk update and will play with it until this game no longer functions)
on a related note, Shovels Bury Bodies (as a bonus, Convenient Utility Magic comes with built-in support!)
Return Aegisbane (just because Torbjorn is a racist doesn't mean you get to keep his hammer, i guess. EDIT: THE LOTD PATCH IS IN C.R.A.P.)
Fjori and Holgeir in Sovngarde (very niche, but very nice)

May I suggest Aetherium Forge Destroys Items? I'm building a route to avoid going evil or losing my soul while getting the Daedric Artifacts for disposal, at least for a few centuries until the Princes remake them.

I like the idea of permanently destroying those evil items, but wouldn't you have to complete most of the daedric (evil) quests to get the items? I was thinking of using that mod for a while, I do like the description.

Hey love the list, been using it for atleast a few years now. Saw this mod and thought I ought to recommend it to you for the list. Save The Shellbugs at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community

hmmm, that might fit this list though I'm not sure killing them makes you a bad guy any more than killing deer for food makes you a bad guy. There's actually some comments about that in the posts. :) I'll give it some thought though, thanks for the heads up! I welcome other comments on this too.

W collection. Some i never knew existed. But what about a bad guys collection? If u want ig. Would be cool to have a good character playthru and a bad char playthru (or a neutral)

That's not in my particular area of interest, but sounds like a good opportunity for someone else. Go for it. Just be sure to provide some kind of download that can be used for the game, otherwise the admins could take the mod down since it wouldn't meet the nexus mod guidelines.

I made this mod a while back:
At Your Own Pace Thieves Guild for Good Guys at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
It's a patch that allows you not to extort money from the riftne shopkeepers for AYOP

Ah excellent. But since it's a patch for 2 different mods to work together I'm hesitant to add it as I am with many patches since it would make the list grow pretty long. btw I noticed that you linked the Chinese version of TGFGG in your mod requirements, was that intentional? You'd get more users and coverage if you linked the English version.

You misread the requirements, it does NOT need  tgfgg.

You're looking at a translation patch someone made of my mod.

    Hi friend!

Since you have Suspicious City Guard, you might also mention Suspicious City Guard Improvements. There is also City Bag Checks.

I'll definitely add City Bag Checks, I'm using it myself. I'll have to think about the Suspicious City Guard add-on since I don't normally include patches or enhancements unless they add something more that really helps a good guy playthrough.

Yeah, I saw that you don't have that many add-ons. I agree that this is a gray area.

Thanks again for maintaining this list. Many of us refer to it semi-regularly!

Share the Load should be on this list, if it isn't already. It's a quest skipper, on the idea that some other adeventurer did the quest. It skips the daedric quests, side quests like Forsworn Conspiracy, Lights Out!, Blood on the Ice, and some faction quests like Innocence Lost. It's an underrated mod that always has a spot on my mod list.

Let me think about that one. I prefer mods that alter bad quests so a good character could complete them not just skip them.

Thank you very much, this list is an excellent reference guide! Skyrim definitely lacks and needs options for good guys.
I don't know if you think it's suitable but for those like me who doesn't want to kill innocent animals, it may be a good alternative. This mod makes many animals less aggressive so you don't have to kill them in self-defence the way the game makes you:
    Less Aggressive Animals

I'll consider it! I'm using the companion mod "Less Confrontational Animals (For SkyTEST)" and I've removed aggression from mudcrabs for the same reason.
