About this mod
ESPFE. Two add-ons for Colorful Bound Weapons that (1) show a light while they're equipped and (2) change the weapon enchantments.

Both add-ons require Colorful Bound Weapons. I'm guessing they'll probably work with the ENB light version as well; let me know if that's not the case.
These add-ons were also designed alongside the meshes in my other mod Elegant Bound Weapons, which are used in the mod images because I'm lazy and didn't want to take two sets of screenshots. The colors for the lights add-on and hit effects may go together better if you have it installed, but it's by no means a requirement.
Credit is owed to renzozuken1 and CyborgArmGun for their awesome work on the various versions of Colorful Bound Weapons; thanks! :)
Lights Add-On
This plugin turns on a light of an appropriate color when you have a vanilla or colorful bound weapon equipped in your right hand (or both hands). The lights are the same radius as the vanilla Candlelight spell.
Light effects are applied with conditions; no scripts are used. This does mean that there can be up to a second of delay after equipping or unequipping a weapon before the light responds.
Bug Fixes SSE or another fix for the ability condition bug is a soft requirement. You can use the mod without it, but after a period of time you may find that this mod's lights become unresponsive. The only fix in such a case would be to remove and re-add the ability that controls the lights with the console, along the lines of:
SPEL: (xxxxx85e) 'BW Lights Wrapper Ability'
player.removespell xxxxx85e
player.addspell xxxxx85e
If you have another mod that adds lights when equipping bound weapons, one of the two will "win" and show up, but which one may be unpredictable. I wouldn't expect any crashes or other functional issues. For my mod Super Simple Spell Hand Lights, turning off the bound weapon lights in the Spell Hand Lights MCM will get them to work together consistently.
Mods which add other bound weapons will be compatible (although they will all use the same dark blue light as the vanilla bound weapons).
Alternate Effects Add-On
This plugin reworks the special enchantments on each flavor of the Colorful Bound Weapons with the goal of making them feel a bit more distinct and situational.
Base weapon damage has also been nerfed for all colorful bound weapons (relative to vanilla bound weapons) to compensate for the enchantments. Scaling-wise, regular weapon damage will increase with your weapon skill and the Mystic Weapon perk, while enchantment effectiveness will increase with your Conjuration skill. I balanced mostly against my own mod setup; let me know if anything is very unbalanced in yours!
The new effects are:
- Shadow / black weapons bypass armor and have an increased chance for critical hits.
- Frostfire / blue weapons deal fire and frost damage.
- Verdant / green weapons absorb health for a period of time.
- Lustthrall / magenta weapons drain all enemy weapon and armor skills for a period of time.
- Molten / orange weapons burn enemies for a small amount of fire damage and a stacking reduction to armor while the effect lingers.
- Faecharm / pink weapons slow enemies and damage their stamina.
- Rulebreaker / purple weapons absorb magicka for a period of time.
- Relentless / red weapons absorb stamina for a period of time.
- Goldfallen / yellow weapons deal a burst of shock damage that has a chance to jump to nearby enemies. I set conditions on this to attempt to avoid harming anyone who is an ally / not currently hostile to you.
- Wrath / white weapons deal a small amount of unresistable magic damage, tripled against undead.
I don't use the non-bound versions of these weapons personally, so I didn't change their stats. The enchanted versions should have the same on-hit effects as their bound counterparts, but without scaling.
This plugin shouldn't conflict with anything apart from other plugins that also alter weapon, ammunition, spell, and enchantment records from Colorful Bound Weapons.
