    It would behoove you to remove the placed locations of the book in order to make this an esp lite, especially since it's for literally one spell. Player's can use additem menu, or even a simple recipe, to get the spell. Maybe it can be merged easily into another mod by the individual user, idk.  Definitely a great mod though thank you for making it. Shoulda been vanilla.

    About the summoning an actual fishing pole. Maybe you could make a duplicate fishing pole with all the same functionalities as the original, but add a keyword to it that allows you to attach a spell to the player, decreasing magicka by a certain amount as long as it's in your inventory. You could also make this fishing pole worthless. Not sure the weight matters. This way, normal fishing poles are still viable and having a summoned fishing pole still comes with a cost. 

    Also, maybe there is a way to integrate it into the breakable equipment system, giving a chance for it to break every time it's used, maybe even scaling the chance with the player's conjuration skills. Can modders do this stuff? I bet they can. But I can't lol and I don't expect many could. So again, take it all with salt, and thanks for the mod :)

    Edit: So I opened up the esp in Xedit and removed the cell records. Then on the flags line I added esl to the esp. Worked like a charm!

      1) Load up the esp in SSE Edit
      2) Click on your esp from the list on the left hand side
      3) There should be a flag as option on the right hand side (somewhere in the first few lines itself)
      4) select ESL from the dropdown menu
      5) Try saving the plugin. if It saves then you are done.
      6) if it shows error, you just need to right click on your esp and "renumber form ID's"
      7) click yes to whatever warnings it shows
      8) save

      (I'm like 98% sure you can't esl-ify an esp with cell records, so you'll have to remove those. But I could be wrong, idk, still learning like all of us)

      From my understanding, it is only a risk to compact form ID's when there is NEW cells created by the mod iteself. This mod only adds temporary items to existing cells, so it *should* be okay to ESLIFY. Running the ESL checker in xEdit shows it as okay with compacting.

      I'm doing this myself, as I have precious few slots left (currently at FC in my ESP's (leaving only 2 left for 255), and I have a bunch to go still.

    Does this work with Fish Anywhere?
    EDIT: It is, but when you start fishing it gets unequipped.

    Hey, nice concept. I haven't got AE installed yet, so can't check it out, but does it have the purple ghostly glow of other bound gear? Maybe put up a screen of how the pole looks in game.

      Thanks for the comment!  No, it doesn't have any glow.  It just uses the base image from the game for the basic fishing rod.  But I agree with your suggestion, and I'll post another picture or two so people can see.

      Aw. Any chance you'd consider adding some purple transparency to the pole, to make it match bound weapons? Maybe just as an optional mesh. I think that fits the theme better for bound gear in general.
