Im my desperate search for a house in Winterhold that was 1) good and 1) compatible with COTN, I stumbled upon DexMods's player home Menskr. I loved the spot and the fact it had a version made on purpose for COTN, but what I loved even more was that they had left their permission open... ok, you see where this is going: I started making some tweaks here and there, and ended up changing almost everything but the exterior building. It still requires the original mod, so be sure to endorse that one too. It reflects my personal tastes, most of which are highly subjective, but, well, no reason not to share. 

What I changed: 
- The key isn't found at Skytemple Ruins, instead you can buy it from Birna.
- The interior is now funished with a mixture of Nord and Dunmer vanilla furniture, likely due to the previous owners (I know, I know, the original had very unique and stylish furniture, it just didn't fit my style very well).  
- This includes some vanilla-style interactive bookshelves. 
- In a similar spirit, I removed most static clutter (I am probably the only person who doesn't like it), and the custom effects on activators (I don't want gameplay to work differently in a single location).
- While it's a small home and not fit for more than two people, I still added a cot in a corner, just in case you have a guest who's not too picky.
- I added a chimney, so the smoke from the fireplace has a way to get out (same chimeny as the other COTN buildings).
