Hello everyone. So I finally got some time to finish this file off and release it. Very quickly a few key points you may want to know as I've already had questions about it: - I only have a few crappy images up right now as they show off the mod perfectly fine as is, and any images I upload now I'll just have to remove once 2.0 comes out anyway, which is just a waste of time and internet. Image uploading is open for users, so if you would like to upload your own images please feel free to go right ahead. - The mods plugins should be loaded BEFORE any mods that add aesthetics to areas, eg water, lighting, weather or sound mods. This is because in order to place an item in an area, Bethesda requires you also have a copy of that areas record in your mod. Nothing I can do about it. For the most part even if you get this wrong it won't be a major issue and LOOT will be a help here as well if you're a beginner. - A USSEP patch is included in the install for people using that which will fix the briarheart bug you probably encountered in the original. The issue with vampires not wearing boots was also fixed. - I maintained the original record structure and didn't do any major edits so any old compatibility patches from the classic skyrim version of the mod will still work, such as for other cloak mods etc. Just make sure you run any esps from those patches through the Creation Kit first. - No I can't do any HDT stuff, it requires SKSE and dll plugins which aren't available. - You don't need to clean the file any more, the two ITMs from the original file have already been cleaned.
Anyone having issues with invisible cloaks or missing textures please try redownloading the mod. If it happens again, try downloading it manually rather then via the download with manager button. I assure you all the files are included so It's something on your end thats happening between the files being downloaded and getting in game, likely a download or installation error.
I am NOT providing any support or patches for current or future Creation Club content. I am not and will never pay for a file I will never use, for a version of the game I don't care about, for a company that doesn't even patch five year old game breaking bugs and major issues with their files. I hate what SSE has done anyway with people endlessly hassling me about SSE stuff and only wanting ports instead of quality content or updates, I'm not putting myself in a position where I have to support extraneous files on top of that, especially not when I'd have to fork out money to support them in the first place.
Please do not ask or hassle me about it. This file has open permissions for patches so you can make patches yourself if need be and upload them for others.
it says the cloaks are enchantable I tried enchanting them and it didn't work so it probably means they only take specific enchantments I just want to know what they are.
This is by far my favourite mod for Skyrim as it really helps with immersion, but on a fresh install on SE's latest version it doesn't distribute the cloaks to most characters. Is this an error on my part?
If you have a CTD after installing this then check if your version of Skyrim is v1.6.1130+ as there may be a with a recent copy of Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch - USSEP ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266) installed. Try this: - Navigate to your game data folder - delete the file Cloaks - USSEP Patch.esp (do not just rename) - If your mod manager such as NMM has an option to disable the ESP then that is okay as well - See if your game loads
The ESP you have removed relates to a minor clash with a cloak on a Forsworn so should have little impact.
1. Is there a FOMOD, where I can choose, statless capes? 2. Can simply craft a cape, whichever one I want? 3. Why so many capes spread throughout the entire game? Can this be used with other mods? 4. Is this only for remakes of the game or is it ideal for SSE? 5. Why you no answer questions....
Stat isnt said a single time on pinned comment or mod page. Craft = they arent distributed so no compatibility issues and means they are player/follower only Any mod can be used with other mods There is no skyrim remake devs dont need to answer questions
Dev please dont close comments some people do post intelligent stuff.
Don't use this mod, use cloaks and capes, this mod ruined the look of all the guards they now no matter what use fur gauntlets and boots even with Nordwar Guards Replacer mod running. Once you install this it will you can remove and delete it but it won't matter the guards are stuck this way. Damn mod ruined the look of my game.
Low iq. You need to patch ANY mods that edits ANY npc. They use shared records and mods cant selectively edit certain records so if you change a guards hair or face their cloths get reset to vanilla. So change guard face and hair those need a patch. Change their shoes that needs a patch. Change their skin color that needs a patch. Give them a cloak that needs a patch. There are exceptions; I think some mods use the spell system/powers system to basically cast the gear onto NPCs removing this issue though im not a dev so description might be off. That said you should expect to need to patch everything unless it directly is a model/texture replacement.
figured out how to fix the double cloak thing, just make it so its only unnamed 46 and no tail 40 thing on all cloaks in xedit, ssedit, whatever and that should do it. if given permission i'll post a link to my already edited thing but otherwise thats how i did it.
