    Tweak Guide:

    Just open the .ini to tweak. Smaller numbers = greater zoom.

    Vanilla settings:
    Book default is 110
    Note is 90
    Inventory zoom (Y) is -500

    It's not advisable to adjust zoom speed to any faster (lower number) than 500 because it can mess up some of the animations.

    just want to share,
    i use immersive bookreading https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4541
    then i slightly change the value based on what this author recommends:

    fBookOpenTime=500.0000
    fInventory3DItemZoomY=-300
    fNoteDistance=75.0000
    fBookDistance=80.0000
    fBookXRotation=0
    fBookPosHeightPercentage=0.52

    this feels much better for me, leaves a bit space in upper screen for text update from mods like reading is good/the eloquent reader

      Thanks! I'll try these tweaks. Playing on Ultra Wide Resolution requires a lot of tweaking!

      I'm going to ESLIFY this and see if it takes. My load order is highly precious.

    So I tried the fInventory3DItemZoomY thing and it blocks the light so is too dark to see the item well up close, so I got to looking at ini settings here : Guide:Skyrim INI/Interface - Step Mods | Change The Game (stepmodifications.org)

    [Interface]
    fInventory3DItemZoomScale
    Default is 2.25

    I increased it to 4.50 ( fInventory3DItemZoomScale=4.50 ) and item is much larger up close and can be seen much clearer, doesn't block the light.

    I didn't end up downloading the mod because I'm at a point where I need to worry about how many plugins I have, but I wanted to say - Thank you so much for including the .ini settings, it's a genuine lifesaver. I've been playing on a TV a bit of distance away from me, so having it so I don't need to put on my glasses just to read the text in notes and journals (a habit that I've gotten way more into after playing Morrowind) is absolutely huge. Thanks!

    Nice little mod. It is safe to turn into an ESL through the Creation Kit. It worked just fine for me. Endorsed.

    For what's it's worth, for my wide high res. screen, I added this in my skyrimcustom.ini
    Spoiler:
    Show
    [Interface]
    fBookDistance=85.0000
    fLetterDistance=75.0000
    fNoteDistance=75.0000
    I'm happy with that; play with the numbers to you liking... and for your eyesight
    Like -/+10.000 each at first.

    Didn't realize how much I loved this mod until I had to re-download and reinstall all my mods. Somehow I forgot this one and really noticed it not being there. Thanks for helping those, like me, with poor eyesight.

    But there are values you can add in your Skyrim.ini to have the same effect without an .esp right ?
    For books for example i use fBookDistance=90.0000 . Smaller values zoom in more.

    Edit : Just checked the bottm of the description and yeah it's a better way of doing it

      Yep. If anyone wants to save esp slot, just put those commands in Skyrim.ini.

      EDIT:
      Just sharing. I increase these value a bit. It is perfect for me.

      There's a third option for these tweaks (and others as well). Make an extra ini file named "SkyrimCustom.ini" with only the header and lines you want, and place it the Documents/My Games/SSE folder with the other ini files. There's no esp required and it will leave your original ini files unaltered. This can be convenient if you ever need to delete the originals to get fresh copies (like when you make any game-breaking tweaks).

      @EspinhosoGamer

      You need to add those command in Skyrim.ini([Interface] section) by yourself.
