Is this compatible with XYZ? Almost certainly. This mod merely overrides the textures for the rune spell decals, so you don't need to worry about load order or CTDs. The tiny plugin for the Apocalypse runes just changes the path for the normal maps, and can go basically anywhere in your load order after Apocalypse itself.
Are these textures fit to use in original Skyrim? Not from v1.1.0 onwards. I've converted all the textures to the BC7 format, which requires the newer version of DirectX included in Skyrim SE to render. However, my GIMP XCF files are free to download if you want to export to something compatible with original Skyrim.
Can I back-port this mod for OldRim? Can I post this to the Steam Workshop / Bethesda.net / etc.? I don't have any plans on maintaining a second mod page for Skyrim LE, but per the permissive licensing you're more than welcome to do so yourself, so long as I'm credited as the original author (see the permissions dropdown). If you do port for LE or republish on the Steam Workshop or BethNet, send me a hyperlink and I'd be happy to mention it here.
Hello, I have a bug that fire spells don't show up in my hands. I have already made a reddit post about it, but nobody replied yet. REDDIT POST LINK I would be very grateful if anyone could help me out :)
This mod is almost certainly not the cause, though I did have the same issue with spells not displaying in my hands a while back. In my case, it was caused by mismatched settings between Improved Camera and another mod that provided some better first-person animations.
EnaiSiaion just released a new spell pack, Odin, which features 3 new Illusion Runes (Calm, Command, and Fear). I really like your rune textures and it would awesome if we could get new textures for those to maintain a sense of visual cohesion and consistency!
I have a number of other mod ideas I would probably bring to fruition before returning to this one, but I have been thinking of the need for a Mysticism patch. If I do get around to it eventually, I could reuse the textures for Odin as well, since both mods add calm, fear, and command runes.
Version 1.4.0 is out now, with a retexture of the Meridian rune from Dawnguard Arsenal. If you're upgrading and are using both Apocalypse and Dawnguard Arsenal, the FOMOD installer will give you a combined patch plugin (which is already an ESPFE anyway), so you'll get a message that "DtRS - Apocalypse Patch.esp" is missing. Since these plugins only edit texture sets, it's quite safe to switch them out mid-game - you'll be far more worried about uninstalling something like Apocalypse mid-game.
I've separated the clean and worn versions of the mod into their own packages, since the download size was getting a bit bloated with all the different options and patches. Let your internet breath a sign of relief.
My only issue with the mod is that, I can still see the runes after being placed unlike in vanilla where they disappear except for a slight effect about it. Still pretty nice looking
It's a graphical setting which is causing the issue.
Open up the Skyrim Launcher -> Options -> Advanced -> Detail Tab -> Decal Detail (set to medium or greater). Apparently there is no Low setting for decals, only None, Medium, High, or Ultra. If it's set to None, then runes will be invisible.
I noticed when you chose worn option, there is no DTRS Apocalypse patch, is that supposed to be the case. When I picked clean, there is a DTRS patch for Apocalypse
Well, you can see which version of the mod I use in my own game. I've uploaded the fix with version 1.3.2, which'll be ready for download in a few minutes.
Not sure if you're aware or if it's just me but when using the FOMOD installer (using MO2) and selecting the 'Worn' option, the 'Clean' version is installed regardless. Easy to fix manually, just thought I'd throw you a message in case the script needs editing!
That aside, these are beautifully done! I had no idea these existed since I haven't searched for rune textures since Skyrim LE and they're great! Daedric-based rune designs are something I've wanted for a long time now, and these are perfect. Doubly so with the inclusion of the Apocalypse ones.
Gods damn it, I'm surprised nobody posted about this earlier, between March and today. Turns out it's a copy-paste error on line 97 of the installer: both options set the flag to "Clean," so the control flow never hits the parts where it installs worn textures. I'll get a version 1.3.1 up shortly with this fix applied.
I really Love your textures and the fact that you have redone the Runes from other mods as well. Since I use Elemental Destruction Magic it would be great to see those done by you as well for congruency. If you got the time and Permissions. Thank you for the continued support of this mod.

EDIT: just noticed the "worn" version.

That being said, can we get some fresh rune textures for this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/37211 ?
