For those who can't see the compass. If you have installed Campfire -Skills of the wild - mod, it's off by default. Coming from GOS collection and struggled with this for a while...
Mod is not working for me. X does nothing. Is it because I have TrueHud installed? edit: nvm. Uncheck toggle on activate in mcm menu and the mod is working now. What is even toggle on activate mean? What does that option do?

Yes, wondering the same thing: What does "toggle on activate" means and how does it work exactly? The option seems to be on by default in the MCM, but in my experience in this mode the compass is off and never shows up. The option needs to be switched off in the MCM for the actual toggle hotkey to be effective.
Any clarification would be appreciated. Also you may want to display some hints at the bottom of the MCM when selecting each option.
Open the mod in xEdit and change the value (the last field) in hcomtogglekey or whatever it's called to the number that corresponds to the button you want, according to this page: https://ck.uesp.net/wiki/Input_Script
I have 1.4 but the survival icons still don't show when toggled. Not a big issue.
Other than that, this mod is great. I wished for the compass to show up automatically in combat, but a simple button press works too. Also the option to have the compass fade out after a few secs is an awesome!
Goddamn, should have installed this at the start of my playthough. Works great, super immersive in the over world and towns, and gives clairvoyance an actual purpose lol. Thanks a lot.

The ability to use the Compass is a Skill. After unlocking it, it should work.
