I don't quite get the purpose of each file from the description.
I'm using JK's Skyrim. Am I supposed to use only the JK well file or also the vanilla wells? What exactly do they do? Is the JK one only for Winterhold?
Vanilla Wells cover all vanilla well. If you use JK you *also* need the patch for JK (I don't remember every single location, but it's not just Winterhold).
I checked with these 3 installed: Vanilla, JK's, CRF. Works fine in Solitude, Whiterun and Winterhold. Minor thing - Whiterun has a second well in JK's Skyrim version, which could be covered by your mod in a future update? Right now it doesn't have a SunHelm bucket activator. But it's also overgrown with hanging moss, so it kind of makes sense that it's an "old abandoned well" of the town or something. :)
For WIndhelm: It took me some time to understand that Windhelm doesn't have a well in the original game. :D This mod here - "The Windhelm Well" - adds one that is compatible with JK's and has a patch for SunHelm.
Ok, now indeed I remember I did forget the second well in Whiterun, because in my game it's always covered by something else. I should add it when I find the time to update.
The one you linked is the official patch page. Mine was done in a hurry because I really wanted to use Socalista's mod without waiting for someone else to patch it. I don't know if they're substantially different TBH, it's landscape patches we're talking about.
Hi, the patch description for "Hearthfire Extended - Base Object Swapper" lists mead barrels and butter churns. But that mod also improves apiaries, allows milking cows, etc.
Could those be included in the patch? What entries would need to be added to the swap ini?
I have to look into it TBH, thanks for pointing it out (originally I had made the patch to replace some other patches I had made for homes, so I focused on the objects you could find there).
Would you be willing to add Sunhelm Buckets to the well on the Farm added by Live Another Life, and the wells in the Oakwood, and Helarchen Creek mods?
I can not for the life of me get CK to stop crashing.
Hi, thanks for these, more Sunhelm buckets are always useful! JK's Skyrim adds a new well to the market area in Windhelm which doesn't have a bucket yet.
I use it together with DoS that adds its own well there, that's why I didn't notice. Once I finished with the stuff I need for my game I might go back and make a version for JK on its own. Meanwhile I'll add a note that this was made with the DoS patch in mind.
No worries and no rush. I’ll take a wander around and see if there’s any other JK wells too. I know he adds a second well in Whiterun but it doesn’t need a bucket as it’s so close to the original that already has one.
Thank you SO much for the Immortal Kitties mod, I always wanted to install the house cats but I knew I wouldn't be able to take it if one died. This will be in my load order forever.
