Hurraaay everyone! The official port of Interesting NPCs was updated, and going by that changelog this mod and your support might've had something to do with it!
This page will stay up, as after checking the update out, a lot of my patches are still relevant, as is the information provided in my description.

Interesting NPCs is a very popular and expansive mod that adds a large amount of unique NPCs to Skyrim's world. However, some of these NPCs touch on sensitive subject that some players may not want to engage in. I didn't want these users to be deprived of the fun of Interesting NPCs so I've made some patches to remove offending NPCs.

I've cast a wide net with these patches, to hopefully accommodate everyone. To be honest, I don't plan to even use every patch here myself.

All patches are ESL-flagged ESPs.

If you have any suggestions for NPCs you find inappropriate or offensive, please leave them in the comments!

Compatibility
No conflicts with mods altering the NPCs (like giving them new outfits or faces). My patches don't actually touch the NPCs to remove them.

May conflict with mods that change the placement of each NPC, such as patches for city overhaul mods. Load these patches after.
As of 1.1 the full Griffith and Morrigan patch removes all of Interesting NPCs' additions to the Workers' House in Mixwater Mill, so patches for that location are obsolete.

Cut Content and Resulting Issues
Interesting NPCs is written to be interconnected, so many NPCs will reference other NPCs in dialogue. These references are usually vague, however, so they probably won't feel immersion breaking.

During the quest Brother and Keeper, Morrigan mentions a "draugr" helping her, likely referring to Moris the Draugr.
Sunken-Roots mentions a Dunmer in the quest The Raven of Anvil, which is probably Raynes.
Rumarin references Vigram frequently, as he lives with him whenever not travelling with you.

The full Griffith and Morrigan patch makes it impossible to do the quest Brother and Keeper.
The Raynes patch makes it impossible to do the quest The Law Always Wins, which is also a prerequisite for the quest Brother and Keeper.
Brother and Keeper is a prerequisite for three other quests: The Aldmeri Prisoner, A Debt of Blood, and As You Like It. As a result, either of the Raynes patch or the full Griffith and Morrigan patch will make these quests impossible to start and complete. As far as I know, this doesn't cause any issues, it just means you can't play that content.

If you're using the unofficial Legacy of the Dragonborn, you'll probably be unable to obtain several items for the museum that you get from these quests, if you're using either patch removing them.

The Griffith Dialogue Tweak doesn't remove any quests, and so won't cause these issues. Read the boxes below if you want more info on what the tweak actually does.

Sadrin appears in two quests, Azzarian's Gold and Idle Dreams, disabling him as an NPC only breaks the first quest, so it is also disabled by my patch.

Jeerah-Nur appears as a villain in the quest Fenced In, however disabling him as an NPC doesn't break the quest. If you also don't want the quest there's a patch in the optional files disabling it.

Patch Explanations
Details for why a patch was made can be found below. Please note, some of the explanations contain references to real world issues or NSFW matters. The explanation will first contain a few bullet points, then a long-form description going into detail (if relevant).

Anya (OPTION INCLUDED IN ezPG FOMOD INSTALLER)
Spoiler:
Show
Sex and sex work.
Spoiler:
Show
This character is explicitly described as a prostitute, that is she is payed by clients to have sex with them. This isn't framed negatively, although the player has the option to shame her for it, and even if you don't you will be forced by the dialogue to question her work.

Godrod the Hammer (DEPRECATED, USE OFFICIAL OPTIONAL FILE)
Spoiler:
Show
Conspiracy theories.
Spoiler:
Show
This character is meant as a parody of real world conspiracy theorists, however some may find the character hits a little too close to real world political issues.

Griffith and Morrigan
Spoiler:
Show
Pedophilia.
Spoiler:
Show
Griffith is a former Dark Brotherhood assassin assigned to kill Morrigan (a child), because a grown male character was angry he couldn't pursue her. Griffith left the Dark Brotherhood because of this.
In this situation, the player has the option to side with the Dark Brotherhood and kill Morrigan and Griffith, essentially siding with the pedophile.
The player can also say in dialogue with Griffith that they themselves are a pedophile. The Griffith Dialogue Tweak removes that line of dialogue.

Jeerah-Nur (DEPRECATED, USE OFFICIAL OPTIONAL FILE)
Spoiler:
Show
Sadism, gore, and murder. Child murder.
Spoiler:
Show
This character is a serial killer. He talks about killing children and keeping body parts. There's a video here, although it doesn't go into the gory parts: https://youtu.be/wnlLSBzxjxg

Jolene
Spoiler:
Show
Sex, slut shaming, female objectification.
Spoiler:
Show
This character is a priestess of Dibella who really likes sex. She will proposition the player. The player has multiple choices to shame her for her sexuality. There's a video here of what she's generally like: https://youtu.be/j3p1011vSME

Larkspur
Spoiler:
Show
Womanizing. Pick-up lines. Obnoxious flirting.
Spoiler:
Show
This character is a fuckboy. If you're playing a male character, he will speak a lot about how much sex he has with women. If you're playing a female character, he will give you the medieval equivalent of a pick-up line. To be clear, this character also has other personality traits, but if you find this kind of flirting annoying, maybe you'll just want him gone.

Moris the Draugr (DEPRECATED, USE OFFICIAL OPTIONAL FILE)
Spoiler:
Show
Casual misogyny / casual rape culture.
Spoiler:
Show
This character says the line "So I took her maidenhead instead." In reference to having sex with his ex-wife. This kind of language removing agency from women in sex is objectifying. As is fetishising virginity like this.

Murakan (OPTION INCLUDED IN ezPG FOMOD INSTALLER)
Spoiler:
Show
Implied torture, gore, cannibalism, kidnapping. Vague language, such that many other types of violence could be implied.
Spoiler:
Show
This character talks about kidnapping and killing people. It's left unclear what it is he actually does to the people he kidnaps, but there's some indication he's a cannibal. In my opinion, this character is intentionally and explicitly made to be revolting and to make the player uncomfortable.

Raynes
Spoiler:
Show
Torture. Implied gore. Khajiit xenophobia.
Spoiler:
Show
Raynes is a vigilante who tortures and mutilates bandits to deter them. Raynes is also very xenophobic towards the beast races. A short YouTube video showing some of his typical dialogue can be found here in case you're curious: https://youtu.be/w2wHQYT60yY

Rongeir and Shelur (DEPRECATED, NOW INCLUDED IN THE OFFICIAL SE PORT)
Spoiler:
Show
Incest. Grooming.
Spoiler:
Show
Rongeir Ice-Eye believes his wife was reincarnated in their daughter Shelur, and they are engaged in some kind of relationship. Shelur believes this to be fine. The player can try to convince Rongeir he's wrong, and both fail or succeed depending on the dialogue chosen.

Sadrin
Spoiler:
Show
Misogynist languge.
Spoiler:
Show
This character talks about wanting to have sex with Haelga (as in Haelga's Bunkhouse) using very explicit and sexualised language.

Vigram and Francis (DEPRECATED, NOW INCLUDED IN THE OFFICIAL SE PORT)
Spoiler:
Show
Joke about sexual assault.
Spoiler:
Show
Vigram makes a potentially inappropriate pun comparing soul traps to sexual assault. The character is written to be taken as ignorant and bigoted (towards mages primarily). Francis is Vigram's horse and it makes little sense for him to be there without Vigram.

Dialogue Tweaks
These are just some small tweaks to some player dialogue lines.

Gilsi
I changed the line "I don't know. I like males." Into "I don't know. I prefer men." Kind of outside the scope of this mod, but it bothered me. Nobody says "males" in that context in real life.

Gorr
Spoiler:
Show
Violent sex.
Spoiler:
Show
Removes the line 'How have you managed to kill so many men?' so that you won't hear Gorr talk about bloody sex. Video of the removed dialogue here: https://youtu.be/DTnw4KN39HQ

Griffith (DEPRECATED, NOW INCLUDED IN THE OFFICIAL SE PORT)
Spoiler:
Show
Pedophilia.
Spoiler:
Show
Removes the line "I myself enjoy the company of children." It's not replaced by anything, it just won't show up.

Moris the Draugr
Spoiler:
Show
Casual misogyny / casual rape culture.
Spoiler:
Show
Removes the dialogue option, "You mentioned your old lady. There's a...Mrs. Draugr?", allowing you to ask this character about his ex-wife, after he mentions her off-hand. This prevents him from saying the line "So I took her maidenhead instead." In reference to having sex with her. As well as general boomer 'I hate my wife' talk.

Vigram
Besides the below change, I also fixed the subtitle for one of his generic lines, changing 'hear' to 'here'.
Spoiler:
Show
Joke about sexual assault.
Spoiler:
Show
Removes a response, "It's called a soul trap, actually.", you can give to Vigram when first talking to him which will prompt him to make a joke about sexual assault.
