Tested against vanilla game, and against a 550 mod load order. * I am unable to reproduce the dark face issue on my end, everything seems to be working just fine and I cannot account for every users load order...no one can *
I have Updated the required files, they they are all optional but recommended. A couple users have reported dark face so just hoping installing one of those files will solve it. If someone who has dark face fixes it by installing the recommended files could you please let us know which one had the affect? Thank you!
Things you can try. 1. Check for conflicts in your own load order with xEdit, adjust accordingly. 2. Use on a clean save, before ever having courier have delivered a note. 3. Use the 'Dark Face Fix' mod 4. Open the the CK with "Courier is a Job" as active plugin, locate 'WiCourier' npc, Single left Click, press Ctrl-F4, this will regenerate the face-gen files using whatever textures you have installed. Save and close.
It's a nice mod but installing on a vanilla profile as per the picture
it gives the courier the black face bug. So I exported the facegen again in the Creation Kit and installed it right below/after the mod (in the MO2 left pane), and that resolved the issue. I suspect the author had some cosmetic mods installed at the time of creating the mod facegen. When a user does not have this same cosmetic setup, the BFB appears.
I provided the author with the regenerated facegen files about a month ago. I would upload the files myself but I have no permission to do so. In any case it is a simple fix.
Like many people i got the dark face issue , don't mind me it's a great mod but i wonder if it's possible to just have the mod without the facegen change ?
I love this mod so much! Would it be possible to get a CBBE female mesh for those of us that use mods with female couriers?
For myself, I made a quick little SPID ini that distributes the uniform to any NPC with "courier" in their editorID. I use Better Courier which adds couriers of both sexes and maybe all races, too. Lots of couriers! But the ladies are just wearing the merchant dress.
I tried my hand at using Outfit Studio to make a female mesh (for my own use, of course) and...let's just say I'd rather leave that to the professionals. XD
(BTW: Using SPID means no fear of the dark face bug since it doesn't touch any of the base NPC records.)
Unfortunately I can't fix the dark face bug- i read that maybe its due to fan-gen not being included for the mod. Is there a way we could get a secondary version that is only the outfit added via SPID? It should make it compatible with any face-change mods.
I too got the dark face bug. Also if you look closely where the boots meets the pants, there are no leg textures. The boots dont meet up with the pants and you can see right through if looking closely. Check his screenshots. I didn't noticed this untill I was in the game.
Face-gen is included in the mod, if you have darkface then you have another mod that is also having face-gen and they are conflicting.
The pant leg issue is just something I never noticed until now. But I don't intend to fix it, because this was a one-off release not something I am going to put anymore time into.
Provincial Courier Service overwrites a lot of Courier is a Job's changes, so I just created a rule for CiaJ to load after PCS. I'll report back if it works. Otherwise, might just need to make a patch in XEdit.
****Update***** So CisJ loaded after PCS overwrites too many things for that mod too, so I just created a simple XEdit Patch to carry over CisJ stuff to PCS.
Luckily, I got to test this almost immediately, since my save had a courier come visit me for a questline in a matter of minutes. He showed up clean shaven and armed, but still wearing farm clothes. However, a simple Console "Disable/Enable" got him wearing the new gear.
I'll stop by the PCS office next time I'm in Whiterun. Hopefully, he'll still be wearing the new gear. If I have to Disable/Enable him every time I see him, then maybe the mod is too much trouble.
@OgamiGoro Can you share your patch (privatly or upload it somewhere?) If not can you tell me how to do it myself? I have never patch with xedit without an "addon" before.
I dont know, hope so. I am using it with provincial courier service just fine and it doesn't change any scripting or ai behavior so it should work with everything except for appearance changers.
About the black face bug it happens when the skin and the warpaint don't match in quality lets say my body is 2k and your war paint is 4 or 8k i will get black face, you can avoid black face if your mod doesn't include any npc texture
or something like that, im using Tempered Skins for Males - SOS Full Version with 1k paints and SoS i think is the only things that modify male npcs

Checked in sseedit and there are no conflicts.

btw, is it compatible with provincial courier service by arthmoor ? (normally, it should be)
