About this mod
The Adventurer's Backpack was one of the better Creations (in my opinion) but much of it was cosmetic and fell off the usefulness scale too quickly. So, I made this little glow-up to improve their function.

2.0.0 is HERE!!!
After a year-ish since upload and after months of pondering and weeks of headaches, I've now added unique backpacks to the world and added esl versions!
What is so special about this backpack mod when there are some substantial mods out already? Well, nothing. That's the point. This backpack mod isn't about crazy abilities or new colors, I just made this 'cause I wanted the packs to be a bit more strategic and useful for more than your first 5-10 hours of gameplay.
What's new?
All of the backpacks now have individualized crafting recipes. If it had something attached (like a dagger) then that item is now required.
- Dark Leather now requires Frostbite Venom and Skeever Tails
- Fine Leather requires the scalpel Embalming Tool (for those engravings)
As of 1.1.0 bedroll backpacks now have a weight of 2 instead of 1.
As of 1.2.0 those without simple access to Bone Hawks can now craft an imitation bone hawk skull with the following:
- (1) Hawk Beak
- (1) Hawk Feather
- (1) Bone Meal
- (1) filled Petty Soul Gem
Enchantments have been added/buffed to make them more strategic and useful.
- Non-Bedroll packs have been increased to 100 carry capacity.
- Leather and Fur now give 50 health (and require a Potion of Minor Healing).
- Dark Leather now gives 20% sneak.
- Fine Leather gives 20% speech (you know, people listen when you look like you have money and all that).
- Hunter gives 20% to bows.
- Mage gives 50 magika.
- Thief gives 20% to lockpicking.
- Adventurer gives 50 stamina.
As of 2.0.0, the following unique backpacks have been added to the world.
- Nightingale Rucksack: 0 weight, 200 carry capacity, 50% movement boost.
- Archmage's Backpack: 0 weight, 50 carry capacity, adds three "secret" spells.
- Macho Backpack: 100 weight, 200 stamina, 400% stamina regeneration.
- Heroes' Backpack: 1 weight, 100 carry capacity, reduces physical damage by 25% and magical damage by 75%.
- Sithis' Satchel: 1 weight, 100 carry capacity, negates fall damage, adds custom night eye effect when sneaking.
- Ysgramor's Knapsack: 10 weight, 100 carry capacity, Skyforge and Nord weapons do double damage in addition to settion elves on fire for 10 seconds.
- Servants' backpack: 2 weight, 100 carry capacity, 50% magic resistance, 50% damage resistance from conjured enemies.
- Researcher's Rucksack: 2 weight, 150 carry capacity, 20% skill gain, -75% health regeneration.
- Emperor's Old Knapsack: 1 weight, 50 carry capacity, 10% magic resistance, 50% shout cooldown.
- Mara's Bag O' Love: 1 weight, 100 carry capacity, 100% health regeneration if married, 50 stamina and 50 stamina regeneration if unmarried.
What's the Same?
I suck at textures so the packs will look exactly the same as they would otherwise. They also use the same body slot.
For now, the new packs use default meshes but I will be looking into that.
Notes:
I'll try to respond to feedback as best I can, but I only have half an idea what I'm doing and not a lot of time to do it.
This mod should only require Skyrim SE, Dawnguard, and Adventurer's Backpack creation.
Additional information can be found in the readme.
(1.2.0) The errant +1 to health from the bedroll enchantment should now be gone.
(2.1.0) The power added by the Nightingale pack has been fixed...sorta.
I know many here mod for PC and don't focus much on Xbox and Playstation, but we are in dire straits!
