A Simpler, stripped version of the great Obsidian Weathers.
Just plain Obsidian with fixed and reworked chances for more pleasant and varied weathers.
ABOUT
I always used Obsidian Weathers in my load orders, nothing has really ever come close to change my mind, especially when combined with great ENB's like Silent Horizon or Ljoss.
And while its image spaces are great, and the seasons implementation too, something is always seemed off in the rotation of weathers.
This is my take on OW, I removed the configuration spell, leaving seasons imagespaces in place but reworking the weather chances in the original, engine friendly way.
Now chances are fixed and not script managed, while imagespaces and visuals are still there.
This unlocks more variety in all regions and more chance of changes, while preserving the ambience we all love.
And, after years of rain, maybe weather will be a little more pleasant in Skyrim. Even in Winterhold.
I really recommend using an ENB, if you miss the weaker sun feature. All the options that were in the spell are easily replaced by using ENB.
Yes, plugins are in ESL format.
This is a replacement for OW, you don't need the original mod.
There are 2 versions available:
Standard Version is good old Obsidian with more varied weathers and chances based on original Summer season.
Vanilla Experience version is plain vanilla weather per region and chance, spiced with Obsidian magics.
UPDATING\MIGRATING
Updating from original OW or other weather mods should be safe, as long you perform a clean save and run RESAVER to clean up leftover scripts. Nothing too dangerous.
You may need to sleep some.
MCM mods for OW are not needed, since there is nothing to configure here.
A clean start is always better tho.
PATCHES
This is basically a new mod with different name, formIDs and implementation, so it's likely that patches for original OW won't work.
I patched some of the most popular mods for OW like True Storm, Sounds of Skyrim, Mists of Tamriel, Vanilla Nights
New Audio Overhaul for Skyrim doesn't need patches, just load it after MSOW
I included a Water patch that reverts to vanilla values the WATER color edits of OW.
This can be helpful if you are using water replacement mods that results in dark waters like RWT2, but can be used with every water replacement and see if things work out better. You should also try to fix your water situation with ENB.
I already applied the only harmless patch found on Nexus, the sky mesh fix by Charmics.
COMPATIBILITY
Every ENB for OW will result compatible.
Beware, as this unlocks multiple new weathers probably stucked, you may find yourself having to configure to your liking some weather never shown before, if you are using an ENB with weather and location features.

You are free to use the resources in this mod so long as you share your mod with the same permissions
