If you play Skyrim AE Survival mode this mod will come very handy. It gives you an option to place a warming campfire anywhere in the wilderness using a vanilla firewood. It comes in a lore-friendly way and it depends on the current weather how much firewood you will need. You can also place a campfire with the cooking pot and harvest firewood.

Simple Campfire for Skyrim post-AE Survival Mode
Many adventurers have met their final hour in the Skyrim wilderness. Freezing blizzards are deadly and only those who are prepared will survive. Always keep some firewood with you because it could save your life once the weather of Skyrim is stealing your body temperature with a rapid speed. Warm and cosy campfire is priceless in these situations as it is the only option to get warm and well fed with some freshly cooked meals. Are you out of firewood? Get your Woodcutter's Axe and get some firewood by hitting a tree like a true survivalist.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Spell "Build campfire" will be added to your spells (category Powers) when you will launch the game for the first time with this mod installed and enabled. You can equip this spell and activate it with Z key like any other power or shout.
2. The amount of firewood needed to build a campfire depends on the current weather:
- Rainy weather - 2 firewood
- Snowy weather - 3 firewood
- any other weather - 1 firewood
You can get firewood by using a Woodcutter's Axe on any Wood Chopping Block in Skyrim. It is a vanilla game feature. Since mod version 2.3 you can also harvest firewood by hitting trees with Woodcutter's Axe.
3. You can place a campfire with a cooking pot if you have Cast Iron Pot (bigger one with weight 6, see image below) in your inventory. You can use it as any other cooking crafting menu in Skyrim. It can be taken from the campfire and added back to your inventory when you no longer want to use it and you don't want to wait until the campfire will burn out. This action will not affect the duration of the burning campfire. Cast Iron Pot will be added to your inventory automatically after the campfire will burn out but only if you are near it. Otherwise Cast Iron Pot item will stay lying on the place where campfire was placed.
4. You can harvest firewood by hitting trees with Woodcutter's Axe in Skyrim. Every hit cost you 30 points of stamina and to successfully harvest one piece of a firewood you need to hit the tree couple of times (5 - 8).
5. Campfires can be placed only in a wilderness. You can check if you are in a wilderness by opening a local map (open map with M key switch between world and local map with L key). On top of the local map is name of the current location. If there is a name of the realm (i.e. "Skyrim") and not a name of a specific location then you know you are in a wilderness. See the image below.
